In the same vein as the Borg Boarding bug and the Matrix Transport bug, a Tavara cannot use the Marines ability manually anymore unless the target vessel is missing at least one crewmember. However, on high weapons autonomy, this ability automatically captures nearby vessels regardless of the crew status.  ^-^

also, maybe there could be a stopper for the tavara boarding?
becuase if you set it on high special autonomy and let it alone a bit, it will go to red crew status pretty fast, maybe it could stop at green..

Yeah, quite annoying when a Tavara tries to out-populate an assimilator or a sphere. The borg just wait until there's 125 crew members, and then they start transporting to the Tavara. Assimilated Tavara anyone?

Easy to counter, just attack the Tavara with a ship outside it's range while it's allies are busy. Can't recrew under attack.

Outside of artillery range? (that's the marines range mate ;) ) . I think you are just looking for a reason to argue here. You could just as easily set it to low autonomy once you've used the ability 4 times, then wait until you can recrew, then set it to high autonomy once more Tyler.

The Marines have artillary range, but it's sensors don't. All it takes is keeping their Sensors away from the firing ship, and a non-AI Tavara can't use it.

I guess I was a little bored...

Well, it is a modified Armada 2. A2 wasn't exactly complete when it was released.

So i can still manually use the boarding ability as long as the is at least one crew member missing?

Yup

The whole thing is kind of balancing for the Borg, to have to nanite swarm before using boarding, but for the Romulans, unless we want to bring back psychotic weapons :shifty:...

And I did not know that having them on high autonomy would fix that, thanks.
