I just had a large scale ai game and i had my ally put a talon in the dom base and had my two Teutobergs within range of a shipyard but it was hell trying to get them to fire and when they did it was on and off, and no matter how hard i tried they attacked everything i told them not to i clicked on the shipyard and they would keep firing at the borg res station, and then keep switching to any ships near by no matter how hard i tried to make them fire at the dom shipyard.

Is this a bug? anyone else had this problem?

I've only seen them change their minds when I use the Tricobalt carpet special. It seems to be a replaceweapon.
They also seem to like to not quite get into firing range when I give an attack order, so I have to manually move them.

I find it easier to use them if they are put into green movement so I just position them where I want and they seem to attack the stuff I want them to

Just be careful they dont wander off as ships in green movement have a tendency to do in flops.

It's a replaceweapon so you need to have very careful micro.  They will forget their orders at the beginning and end of their special weapons.

Yeah, replace weapons and some specials will reset the firing orders of some ships, and the "Tberg" is no exception.  Green movement doesn't work perfectly right now as Tok'ra mentioned, but it's still recommended, as it will help quite a bit.

SOME. Even without special weapon (or other bugs) green level movement autonomy doesnt fully work, ships sometimes wander.

Shame too, at least in stock A2 if you greened them, they almost always DID behave like a turret, and the yelllow mode 'only move as a fleet' setting worked too.
