i wanted to report this little bug(r maybe its a feature?):
if troopships attack a ship and that ship cloakes, the transporter attack kicks in and the troopships begin to follow the already cloaked ship while transporting troops over if they are in range, and a decloaking leads to the ship never getting its shields back in this fight because troops are constantly transported over. this isn t really a bug, but practically destroys jijurials chances of winning because the enemy can easily steal her first bird.

troopships take a while to tech to, so the first ship is not at risk of being attacked by a troopship.
i think it should be left as is, if some people beamed over to an enemy ship, the could use their communicators as beacons to track the cloaked ship and continue beaming boarding parties.

It is most definitely a bug - and a symptom of a whole set of them that are extremely frustrating. This is the infamous "cloak following bug", where if you leave your ships alone, and they attack a cloaked ship, they'll follow it forever.

dominion can put a troopship out as their first ship: the b-8 frigate, and the problem was mostly aimed against dominion.

the cloak follow bug in general should be fixed, but in this case it is realistic, if you cloak but have enemy boarding parties on your ship, then you should expect that the boarding party will make it possible for people to locate you.
this particular "bug" should be left alone.
@dna42: the dominion have to build a prototype for the B-8, to build B-8s so early one would have to sacrifice producing bugs and bombers for a while, and the b-8 is expensive, you wouldnt be able to build many. it would be poor strategy for a dominion player to rush out a small force of B-8s when they could spam more cost effective ships.

The "cloak following bug" is unfortunately not fixed in the slightest. In one of my most recent games it was used against me to trace my fleet... I ended up finding the effected ships and leading my opponent's ships on a wild goose chase, but it was nonetheless frustrating.
Not sure what to make of the "B-8 feature" ...
