The Romulan turrets (Helev has been tested, the ones of the avatar have not been yet). I have had the problem where the turrets are auto cloaking even though I disabled special autonomy. >:( And what is worse is that when I decloak it, about a few minutes later, it recloaks. I am just pissed off with this thing, all I wanted was to cloak my stations when I have it deemed necessary, not just pointlessly cloaking.
Also on a side note, when I switch to projectile weapons, the gui for the turret (aka the interface) is disabled for like 10 seconds. Even when I select it. But it does reappear after the 10 second timer is done.![Hmmm :hmmm:](/forum/images/smilies/dry.png)
Can you make a turret that doesn't autocloak?![Cloak :cloak:](/forum/images/smilies/cloak.gif)

the turrets are on auto-cloak, cause it does not bring any disadvantage to the turret.
yep the turret is disabled while it changes its mode, thats intended. all refits will behave similar in the future

I think his point is he would like the turrents to cloak when he is under attack, not just at random. I havent played with rom enough to now if this is true or not.

the rom turrets do cloak automatically.

yep they cloak automatically if a cloaking generator is present, cause they maintain shields and weapons while cloaked

Only disadvantage I can think of is that enemies will always target the singuarity generator so your turrets will never tank. Having turrets on auto cloak but being able to turn it off would be useful.

i mentioned that in my bugs/glitches and suggestions list a week ago. i mentioned it as a potential exploit nullifying the romulan defense. the turrets can only fire off several shots once the generator is down and thats it, the turrets are not that powerful and hardly worth trying to stop a fleet of ships.
hopefully the idea is refined in 3.13 give the disruptor another weak weapon in addition to it's plasma bolt, should increase its strength a bit to repel the enemy better then it is currently doing.
the intelligence center is not that effective, trying to sabotage ships is a waste of time but the temporary spy helps a little, but not that much, but its special skill helps big time once ranked up.

I love that the turrets autocloak - makes the station not just have all advantages, and also teases your opponent since they'll have to kill a station with some 50-60 defense while being fired upon at all times.
The turrets cannot stop a fleet, because no turret for any faction is designed to stop a fleet. Turrets are just back up fire, or a way to cause your enemy to think twice about attacking your mining. Incidentally, you can upgrade your Defense Batteries to fire artillery range particle weapons Canny![cool B)](/forum/images/smilies/cool.png)
The Intelligence Center is one of those few units in the game that usually is banned because of how powerful it is. Instant kill across the map is rarely anybody's idea of fun - especially if the unit being sabotaged is a Borg one![Sad :(](/forum/images/smilies/sad.png)

Is the intelligence centre considered OP against non-borg ships?

In my experience (mainly 3.0.7) it was mainly considered OP against the Borg. I remember people quitting because I got a diamond with it. I seem to remember the devs saying it would be changed, especially versus Borg, but I don't remember if the changes were implemented yet or not.
Versus non-Borg, it doesn't seem to be OP, but it sure is annoying, because you can lose a miner and not realize it, and fleet movements aren't secret. I've had fun making people think I had a cloaked fleet with one ship they had a spy on.

there will be some adjustments to sabotage soon

about the autocloaking turret, it annoys me a lot now because it slows down my computer when they are cloaked. but i like the idea.

Maybe instead of simply being able to P0WN a ship instantaneously, what if it was a gradual breakdown of all the systems, and if not repaired, then total destruction?
