Alright, I have a problem. I have a LEGALLY downloaded copy of A2 without a CD. This is not warez, it is not illegal, and my copy of Daemon Tools has broken down (I have an image), so can anyone help me? It would mean a lot. I am not angry with the FO team, in fact I have nothing but respect for them, but this is plain annoying! The Web is the only place I can get A2 for a decent price, but I can't install FO! This sucks.  :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby:

Thanks.

welcome to the forums :)
your best option would be to try to reinstall daemon tools. why doesn't that work?

just out of interest, where can you buy armada 2 online?

Hello fellow Commonwealther!

I'm not too familiar with Daemon tools, but if you have an image and want to write it, try the free and open source Infrarecorder:

http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/

I used it to make a Ubuntu (Linux) CD after I downloaded the ISO image:

Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree!!! Hope this helps.

It's from one of those "membership" download sites. I can't remember which one, though. I downloaded from my friend's computer using his account.

And, for Dr. Lazarus, thanks for the tip. I'll try it out.[br]Posted on: September 13, 2008, 03:52:44 PM
There's just one more problem: the image is bigger than the disc.

Disc Size: 702 MB
Image Size: 795 MB

I don't have any DVDs on hand either. QI'yaH!

Seems odd that, since the original A2 shipped on a CD-ROM. Seems you need to get a blank DVD my friend.  :borg:

It's a .mdf file. I have no clue regarding CD images, so any help is appreciated.

.mdf files can only be read on a computer running mac os x iirc.

You'd need a .iso or .cue to read it with daemon tools on windows.

Then how come it worked once? Then Daemon Tools broke down. I am using DT Lite 4.30.1.[br]Posted on: September 13, 2008, 08:41:47 PM
Never mind, I just remembered that my friend gave me a copy of PowerISO, and now it's working beautifully. Thanks for everything though, guys.
