Yeppers it's a bug :).  We don't see it online very often because Vet dreads are hard to get.

They said they'll fix it so never fear!

When it's ready :P . Patience is the golden rule when designing a good and not-for-profit game :)

You ever wonder why games released these days are simply bugfests that need patches so you can complete the game just because you did something slightly different from how the QA guys did it during testing?

Its because the publishers put enormous pressure on the devs to get it finished in stupidly short amounts of times while demanding it be "the best game ever"

The result is usually pants.

It is why FO is such a bloody brilliant RTS.  The devs got a highly modifiable engine thanks to the original game, wrapped their own loader around it, spent ages tweaking things, playing with ideas, taking more time trying out new things, releasing, getting feedback, telling the community if they don't like it the community can go screw itself, back to the drawing board, redesign everything, try a new release, get praised for it, get millions of posts about how this or that could be changed to improve gameplay, alternately listen to or ignore these suggestions, possibly drink large quantities of alcohol when it all gets too much, hold down day jobs, develop some more, sometimes even get to play the game, then finally a patch may be released!!!!

And, if it is a big patch... expect more bugs... but they are usually quite good at patching the more serious ones shortly after a major release.  I suspect 3.1.4 will quickly be followed by 3.1.5 as the community discovers not only bugs but also exploits and unbalanced things.

Compared to commercial games you just don't get that level of attention and service.

It is why I highly recommend everyone who plays this game to make a donation to the devs to keep them supplied with Pizza and beer.  (looks guiltily at own avatar status...)

Patches are never late nor are they early. They arrive precisly when the developers intend them to.  :whistling:

Edit: So don't bug the developers. They gave us a great game, patch it, develop it to make it even better and they are not asking a lot in return.

Patience is a virtue hehe im not very good at it either but hey continue to follow this game for 2 or 3 years like i have and it will start to grow on you lol.
Also I thought of another addage "A watched pot never boils" so i wonder if we all ignore the fourm for a week or so if the patch will be relased?

if we stop using the forum it will move down the google search results lol, but it wont make the patch.

And the ads may not be as useful, click the ads every now and again, its kinda like donating.

Understandable... but any chance you could say whether we should count, in the mean time, by weeks or months... or years  ?

Throw a dog a bone :innocent: ?

as a guess, based on previous patch times, it will be ready in the first half of 2011. This patch sounds like a lot of work for the devs as the borg redo is being added. the current patch is good enough to last.
