Warp in glitch

okay, i didnt think anything of it, but this is the 2nd or 3rd time, the warp in dosent work

it seems that it only happens in mulyplayer, and it warps in just fine, but then you cant control it, it stays grey and dosent move

Ok was just playing the same game with ray, and I took screen shots.  The things circled in red are ships that it chose to not give us.

hmmm. interesting, there should be various checks to avoid that. thanks for the screenshots, i will try to find out what happend in your game

It really just seemed that the more ships we warped in, the less likely it would give you the ships.

This is what's happening to the ship I tried warp in (on a timer, the weapon is attatched to the starbase).

If you think what's causing the above is relevant, could you pm/email me so as not to hijack the thread?

If it always happens then you have set up your odfs wrong. However if it only happens every once and a while then it maybe the same problem.

Ive seen it happening in our games too.

redmanmark had it happen to him in our online game. As did Cbosdell and Ray320.

It seems to occur quite frequently,

now help me serpicus, but do you remeber were there two feds players when the ships wouldnt move, cus i knwow in my last game when it didnt work it was two feds, and it started last night with descent, and it seemed like the descent had a greater chance of freezing then the normal warp in.

For us It got so bad that we couldn't warpin any ships and get them.  This is a very significant Issue.

so does this only occour in online games? or has someone experienced this issue in a lan game? (i am not talking about hamachi here, but a real lan game)

Ive never had it happen on a instant action game.  But it has happened almost every time with Online games.

does this happen very early in the game with the first warp-ins or only later when the map is more occupied with units?

later definitely, like I said the more ships you Warp in the worse it gets.

hmm, while i have to concur with zaxxon i notice 2 things

it is more frequent in the descent

and it usually starts with the descent early, so i try normal, but it porgresivly gets worse to where you cant warp in at all,

the ships warp in, but your slots arnt taken up, so thats not an issue, however they just stay grey and dont move, you have no control
