after a ship is decommissioned at a shipyard or adaptation matrix the shipyard sound keeps playing until a ship is sent though for repairs.
I have V 3.07
p.s. I hope you can fix that, listening to that for extended periods of time causes

Unfortunately this is a known issue from A2 I think. There are three ways to stop it currently. Delete the .wav file (not really recommended), manually fire a ship/station's weapons on the shipyard (it will stop the sound), or decomission the station.

I replace the wav with a few milliseconds of pure silence.

Really? I never noticed until I played FO. You forgot that sending a ship to repair there will also stop the sound.

That only works sometimes for me I think...
I could have sworn I used to hear that loop sometimes in AII. I definitely could be mistaken though .

I cant belive the programers for armada I and II never fixed this! what ever.
I tryed that out works great! and just for anyone else who finds this annoying, here is a repair wav with no sound. put it in fleetops/data/sounds/effects and overwrite the old sound. You might want to back up the one there just in case you want to put the repair sound back
In this case a saying comes to mind "SILENCE IS GOLDEN!"
