Widescreen?

Hello, I am not necessarily new to the forums or anything, but it has been quite a while since I've logged on and posted something... and I was wondering, is there any way I can play Armada 2 wide screen without installing your mod? I was hoping the patch would do that (1.2.5) but I've found no option in game for that capability, and my Monitor happens to be... a pain in my rear, because of it's inability to handle games that can't do wide screen resolutions (specifically 16:10 (1680 x 1050 ).
Any help?![Sad :(](/forum/images/smilies/sad.png)

usually theres a point in the driver settings, to tell your hardware how to handle games and videos that are not in a widescreen resolution (something about stretching or scale). so that way, you got to live with the black bars on the left n right etc

fleet operations 3.0 will have full custom resolution support. also for stock/mod armada 2 the patch project will provide widescreen support in one of the following versions

Could simply be a driver issue.
Here's the ...multi step solution?
GPU type?
Non-integrated high performance ie usually a model number from x600 -> x800 or x60 to x80.
GeForce 2xx -> Should be fine from factory, however do update drivers.
GeForce 9xxx -> www.nvidia.com
GeForce 8xxx -> www.nvidia.com
GeForce 7xxx -> www.nvidia.com
GeForce 6xxx -> www.nvidia.com
GeForce 5xxx -> www.nvidia.com
GeForce 4 Ti -> www.nvidia.com
Other models will ususally not be able to perform, you'd be pushing it with anything lower than a 6800GT at your desired resolution with decent details imo.
Ati...well, I'd go to their website. Also I know very little about them so you should contact another poster.
I currently run a 1GB GTX 280 eVGA SSC and have 0 problems.

Ah, unfortunately my maker is Nvidia. While a good company, I possess the bug ridden dual SLI 8800 GTX cards with the latest drivers (Updated yesterday) and I've been looking for solution after solution. I'd be fine with even pillarboxing, but it simply doesn't want me to do it and gives me no available options.
However, I'm glad to hear 3.0 is out and can't wait to jump on it. Omnom!
