Will these new specs cause problems?

Program aborts? Network configuration? Graphic errors? Bugs? Post your question here.

I love playing FleetOps with my fiance so I am posting this list of upgrades I am going to get soon.  I want to make sure that what I get will work with FleetOps without causing graphical errors.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 3.5GHz

GPU: GeForce GTX 460 1GB 256-bit PCI Express 2.0 x16

(These I know should not matter but I just want to make sure)

RAM: Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3

MB: ASRock 890GX

PSU: COOLMAX 1000W

I would just hate to upgrade my computer only to not be able to plat FleetOps.

I do not think an upgrade would damage compatibility, however, if you really want to be sure, sending Doca a PM about the issue in a few days (if he has not responded here) would seem reasonable to me :)

I was under the impression that FO like A2 couldn't run on a machine that had more than 3GB ram?

4GB of RAM certainly isn't a problem. At least it runs perfectly fine for me :D

Mine is 6GB 64bit, and plays just fine. I upgraded to one of the fastest Intel processors that are on the market, and the only difference it made with FO was that it looked prettier and ran faster than I could play almost.

I am running FO with very similar specs (only with AMD GPU) without any problem.

Fleet Operations can run on any memory size (given its not too small of course). It is even capable to use more ram than Armada2 would.

Your spec sounds fine

Stock Armada 2 refused to run on some configurations with more than 3gb. Fleet Operations has this fixed
