Hello,

i play the Mod since 3.0.0 and it is realy good.
Up to the Version 3.0.5a there where no Admin rights need to play the game.
But since 3.0.6 i need Admin rights, to play the game with the Windows 7 RC1.

I have no Vista PC to check if there is the Problem to.

at which point are admin rights required?

That the Installation need Admin rights is normal.
But to start FO itself are also Admin rights needed, direct after / before lunch the game, it ask if FO is allowed to change system settings.
(The Desktop Item have the Symbol that Admin rights are requierd)

My friend have installed FO 3.0.6 to Windows 7 RC too, but he doesn't need admin rights to play the game.

I have test a bit with the kompatibily mods.
After disabling the visual styles it doesn't ask for admin rights at start anymore, even if the Desktopicon show the Admin logo, but that is no problem.

I can't get past the error when I click on the .exe file to install?

Same here. The virtual directory stuff is rather unfriendly to modding and that's the only way to turn off that "feature.":(
