I dont think it is any secret that i am less than knowledgable on Technical related stuffs.

i got a new computer (so people would stop making fun of me taking 3 minutes to load into a game) but now i cant get Wippien to work on it.  I can chat, but thats it.

Dom was nice enough to try to hold my hand, but even that was to no avail.  i tried the steps in his giude, but could not get anywhere there either.

the network (whatever) that installing Wippien isn't (where it should be, if it is anywhere at all) and I dont know what to do to make it better.

are there any hella smart peoples out there with windows 7 and wippien running that can hand hold me please

Basically the problem lies in that he has x64 and can't get the adapter installed from the files available on the Wippien website ...  :whistling:

Mort, you OVERESTIMATE my computer "skills".

ill try to see what your talking about tonight.

Dom, i think i finally found the network adapter (folder thing) there is a icon for that Other VPN thing, and a "companion" one that is jusy listed as Unknown.

between figuring that out and the stupid Startrek Online game and setting up new computers its been hell.

thankx all for your time and patience.

Anyone know how to RESET a wippien password?

Hit the start key.  Type in, without quotes, "device manager"....press enter when it comes up.  You'll probably be prompted by the uac (user account control....aka most annoying thing in the world to a person who knows what they're doing!!!)....just ignore it and hit yes every time.  Right click on the very top item...should be the name of your PC.  There should be an option "install legacy hardware"  click that.  It should prompt you with two options "search (recommended)" and "install manually"....select manual.  Then go down the list to network devices.  Then select "have disk" and navigate to where you unzipped the drivers you downloaded from the website.  p.s. do this while wippien is off....if you do it while its on, just restart your comp.

we were good till it turned red.  i have network ADAPTERS, but wippien is not among them.

i have Atheros, Comodo, Marvell and Microsoft.

when i did the wippien thing this time, i have no idea where it went.  nor do i know where to look to unzip it  :(
