Adding New Ships

I've gotten more of my favorite ships in but still replacing units left and right.. ....







..life issues sort of got in the way but since I left off I was having a hard time with adding a new shipyard to use to add more ships, gui_global entries are a big fat question mark. I would like to know if the warp-in method is easier for me, can anyone please tell me how to add ships using the warp-in?

K_merse yes I'm fully aware of DJ's restrictions for all his ships, I wasn't planning on uploading any of his ships here or anywhere else for that matter(but since you mentioned it)I'll try to ask him again, maybe a second time is a charm don't worry though guys I'll be uploading some ships here regardless. I'm really liking these glows, something I'm not used to seeing in my a2 games.

Adm. Zaxxon thanks allot for all your help, look if you want I can add glows to your battlestars for you just email me your SOD's.

*Drools* okay!  I just need to go and ask Majestic, and Thunderfoot.  Could you add a single glow to a fighter aswell?  I saw a homeworld mod that had a red glow for cylon fighters, and a light blue one for vipers.  looked awesome.  anyway, thanks so much, I"ll go ask. '

Actually, if you want to, I am just using majestics BSG ships,(Mercury and Cygnus for now but may need the others in the future) so you might just be able to get them from his site.  You are on MSFC right?

Ship.odf (basename)

ShipA.odf (buildable basename.  you can ignore this )

ShipW.odf (this is the ship you see warpin before you can controll it.  I would suggest copy and paste as a method of duplication   It has one weapon called ShipS.odf)

ShipS.odf (a replace weapon.  Copy and paste is your friend in this case as well. )



Station(SFC)

• Weapon 1- Regular warpin(fed_warpin.odf)

•      Fed_WarpinE

•                Fed_WarpinA

•                     If you open this one you will see all the current warpin shipW's.  You can just add your ShipW at                        the bottom of the replacement list  Example below

replacement2class5 = "ShipW.odf"
replacement2class5randomweight = #(whatever you want)
replacement2class5position = 0,0,-200(may change)

Adm. Zaxxon I don't have much time at the moment to try out your diagram but definitely get to it the first chance I get. I don't get though why you need to ask Thunderfoot and Majestic for me to add glows to these models, are you planning to release them? Also, yes I can add whatever glows you want to what ever kind of small craft(just let me know what color to what ship)and yes I'm at the MSFC site as well, as a matter of fact Majestic posted a couple of my mods that I have up at Filefront there not too long ago. Also I think it be better off you send me those SOD's instead cause I'm also going to need a return address when I'm done with them.

SFox I tried to include the class names in the images to avoid the very questions your asking now(as you might notice the ships being acampanied by the small black detail box)but I didn't expect the pics to get distorted like that, Oh well..the first one is the Eclipse class(DJ Eclipse 1701-G V1.0 Download, Bridge Commander Ships) and the second one is the Leonidas class(DJ Leonidas Class - USS Raptor 1.0 Download, Bridge Commander Ships)both from the master himself.

Yeah, actually, I do plan on releasing them   Click my sig for more info, or just look in the WIP modding section here on the forums.

I talked to majestic, and thunderfoot also and majestic said its fine aslong as he gets a copy, and he even offered the ms3d's if you need them Thunderfoot said that he should have a verssion of the fighters with glows, so I don't think you will need to do those.  I'll send you a PM with my email, and you will have to do the same since we cannot attach things to PM's


And I agree with Sfox, those are awesome ships.  Too bad about the master himself tho.   I would love to see some of his ships in a2.  He sure is the master alright.
