@Tyler:Consider what you want to be canon or not, I'm going by what is seen onscreen first and the what is at www.startrek.com second as what is and isn't canon, don't like it, just don't say anything at all.

When I post, if I link a Memory Alpha article or anything it will because it actually fits canon, don't like it, don't reply as simple and as logical as that.

Since most of what I have already posted in any thread I've mentioned ships in is mostly at Star Trek's official site for the class names its canon and any producer or editor for the novels will tell you that.

I'm going to leave it at that. Plus I'm almost thinking about sticking to posting in my own threads.... almost.

And there is your problem; you use startrek.com. Only what appears onscreen in a live-action series or movie (and apparently some animated) is canon.

Not true Tyler that isn't the problem, I know exactly what canon is. I have questioned Paramount and CBS Studios in that topic and their official stance was in this order, the TV Series, Movies, Animated Series, (but it wasn't made to directly follow canon of the true TV series), and the the OFFICIAL Website is in fact under their control and is canon as well.

Memory Alpha, Memory Beta, Memory Gamma and any other Star Trek website that doesn't directly quote or coincide with an episode, movie or the Official Website isn't canon. That is their stance, the stance that I follow.

Thus I am following the path that the production staff takes for canon. Gene Roddenberry himself said that Star Trek canon is only the TV Series and movies.

This should settle the canon debate once and for all:

According to everything that I can find among my many Star Trek Contacts...

The "Valdore-type" warbird shown in Star Trek: Nemesis is of a class that is NEVER named on screen.

However in DS9: "What You Leave Behind" a warbird named D'ridthau is named as the destroyed flagship of the Romulan fleet and is rumored to be of the 1st of the "Valdore-type" Warbirds. All I can find about the ship itself from an interview with ship designer for the Nemesis show is that the "Valdore-type" Warbird was first built during the Dominion War. This Vessel was to meet the following specifications:

1) Have equal or superior armament to the D'Deridex,
2) Have the maneuverability of a Jem'Hadar vessel,
3)be able to compete with Starfleet's then rumored Sovereign class vessels.

However as with Starfleet, the slow build of this vessel did not allow for either the "Valdore-type" Warbird or Sovereign class vessels to be deployed in time for the Dominion War.

But back to the original question...I believe I have seen that the Raptor and Shadow are being reintroduced into the FO world...so as far as a new Romulan Ship: I would like to see a "Drone" type vessel that is built at the intelligence center (ie: Enterprise Season 4).
This vessel would be incredibly fast and unmanned. It would be able to mimic other races vessels with a holographic device (but would match its speed and maneuverability to whatever ship it was mimicking), thus not revealing exactly "who" is raiding your mining.

@SovalofVulcan: I know, that's what I said about the Norexan Class Warbird (and I mean the IRS Valdore, or Norexan Class Valdore-Type)

In Deep Space Nine, the name of the Romulan Flagship was never mentioned in the episode "What You Leave Behind". Admiral Ross just says:"The Romulan Flagship had been destroyed, their entire line is collapsing."
It's in the video from YouTube I've linked below, true it uses a few scenes from other battles (namely the one "to retake DS9) but after that is Ross' speech that also involves the Romulan Flagship being destroyed.

I do like your idea of the Romulan Drone ship, but its already out at Armada2Files.

And I don't think the FleetOps Devs want to use any Enterprise Era ships, I think if they wanted to, they would have by now.
