ohhhhh gotcha! I love version 3 a lot! Graphics, gameplay, etc is so enjoyable! More people need to play this.

we do, the current version is version 3 (3.1.5)
if you mean more people who dont play any fleetops need to play fleetops, then i think that call will go unanswered. we have been lucky recently to see so many people joining fleetops, but it cant last forever as sadly the mod requires the original a2 disk to play, and those arent easy to come by.

Hi myles, it doesn't help that the original Armada 2 game costs a lot to buy! But I hope to see more and more people playing Fleet Ops. The people that worked on this game did an amazing job! Big thumbs up!

yeah the cost doesnt help. there are ways to get around buying the game which are illegal, but that requires people to go to effort to get a game illegally, just to install a mod. its a lot to expect of people.

Yes it requires the armada 2 disk. Even though I have the original, I still downloaded an ISO and mounted it in my virtual drive. It's just easier, and no one will know... I'd be surprised if someone hasn't pirated at all before. May it be games, movies, music, series, cartoons or handy little programs.
The Iso works fine. If anyone has any problems with this. Just say so and I'll delete/edit this post.

the forum rules say no talking about warez, but i think nobody will mind as long as you dont link to anything or encourage anyone to violate the law.
i never owned a copy of armada 2, my copy was obtained over the internet illegally. back then they didnt really have any serious copy protection.
an interesting note is that the activision star trek games share copy protection methods. so an armada 2 iso (in my case i burned it to disk) will allow bridge commander to run

I am kind of surprised and rather disappointed that the Activision games from the late 90's early 2000's haven't gone to open source status, these games are like 10-13 years old and are no longer made or sold yet you still aren't legally to download them. It's rather sad and really shows the philosophy of Activision as a Company. Kind of happy they no longer have the rights to Star Trek games.

though...if they made an armaa 3 a few years ago, people wouldn't be so upset about them not going open source.
