As we all know in FO borg cube is not nearly as strong as it should be, well how strong do u think should it be?
I think it should have at least 3 holding beams, but I really dont know about the number of cutting beams and torpedos as lets say in Voyager endgame 1 cube only fired 1 beam and 1 torp at voyager nothing more. Now in that episode where they got the borg drone from the future and I remember them showing him borg cube in action, there it was just spitting torps and beams while spinning on its y axis. So how do u think should it be in FO??
I think it should be like it was in the borg drone from future episode, that would look really cool and I think it would be canon for a ship its size. What do u all think?

for the amount of weapons the cube has: well im not going to bamboozle anyone with facts, but i tend to think of it as a cube is stronger when its facing more ships from different angles. mg: i think the reason it only fires one thing at a time at voyager is because voyager can only approach from one trajectory at a time, so only one side of the cube is facing it at any one time. if you take a look at the first contact battle you can see the cube firing at multiple vessels at a time, because they are approaching from different sides.
as for spinning around, its true that would be good, but i don't know if its possible cos i think you can only restrict a firing arc forward. i may be wrong though.
plus i don't ever recall their being a command to make a vessel spin. saying this if a cube can be made "multi-targeting" i would welcome it

My thoughts exactly.
One other thing I would like to see is the Borg's ability to adapt to different weapons and practically make themselves immune. Remember in their first appearance the Enterprise damaged then very badly. It was only after the second assualt that the Borg had developed an immunity.

i think a sheild remodulation ability for themselves is a little too much for gameplays sake, they would be unbeatable then.

I had an idea for adaptation, that would be techs only avalible if the tech tree of the certain enemy was captured. ie. the borg capture the fed tech tree and build the fed starbase then they can build a tech that allows the ships to adapt and it would give them a resistance to a special weapon/weapon or of there shields. ect.

I'm all for the multi-targeting thing. It would make more sense for a cube to have it than the romulan destroyer.

i think if i remiber crecly i cant pont to a post about it but the whay the game is bilt is for only one taret at one time.
if it was sposabule i whoold like to see ships taget meny ships in one a tact shooting one after a nuffer in sted on conintrating on just one

it has been done before that a ship can target multiple (3 or 4) enemies, but it is quite eratic, if only 1 enemy is present, you'll soon find all weapons firing on it, so as i said it may depend on wether you can restrict more than just the forward firing arcs.

About the cube, I think it should have somekind of adaptive systems too, maybe it adapts to a kind of weapon over time? Maybe at the end get 50% less dam at the end, when its adapted. But Im quite sure that aint possible
About the weapons I ment that in that hologram or in first contact battle u can see multiple weapons comming from EACH of cube sides, in the endgame part 2 each cube fireing at Voyager has 1 beam and 1 torp plus that beam to adapt, kind of the same as it has now in FO. That I think is redicilous if u just consider what a big piece of surface is one side of a cube

i've come to the conclusion that the borg build different sizes of cubes depending on the role. Standard cubes (like the FO ones) are built for normal assingments, with larger cubes (including fusion cubes) involved in long-range assingments (like the attack in First Contact).
Multi-targeting weapons are a possibility and have been made in AII. The old Gelactic Wars Demo (pity that died, i liked it :cry:) is a good example of these, but the multi-target phasers have a tendancy to target map objects (like moons and planets) instead of the enemy.
Don't know about the adaptation idea. If it could be done, maybe they could make it a credit-costing upgrade (and possibly only avalalible to an avatar). It would probably be a V4 or V5 consideration.

not just "The old Gelactic Wars Demo", but single ships have had it, yes it used to target planets, but not moons as the planets are "underneath" the map in fo i don't think that will be a problem
about the adaptation, maybe they could have this instead of the avater fleet upgrades. when you think about it theres no one person in charge (save the queen herself) and she never seems to change. she seems to have the same personality, whether it be on first contact or voyager. i think that could be a great compromise to the "individuality" of the other races.

I have never seen such a small cube in ST nor the fusion cube so that must be understood as uncanon

3km is correct. I don't think it's feasible to do that in FO though, that would take up a ridiculous portion of the screen (like in SFC 3, that was a pain).
