I have a point to make about the Borg. I noticed, that the Borg ships and stations have no shielding. I think that they should. Borg weapons, structural integrity, and looks are fine, but I really think they should have shields. They do mention the Borg having shields all the time, so why don't they? Yesterday I fought against the Romulans on medium, and in several minutes all I had left was a recycling matrix, and all I could do was watch the weird pistons go back and forth, while D'derix classes swarmed everywhere. Who else thinks the Borg should have shields?

And then? Try to balance it out.

Uhhh? The hull integrity is through the roof!
Since when was it shown on screen that the Borg had shields for their ships? Certainly we have mention of shields, but not actually seen as far as I remember. The Borg are quite powerful enough at the moment...

Well, iv TNG, the episodes with locutis, they had these weird clear-ish square things that poped up, that were suposed to be like the drones adapting to weapons fire.  It sure looked like shields.  I'll try to find a picture.

That's why I said shields for their ships :P

I know the drones have personal shields... but as far as I remember, we never see visible shields on the hulls of Borg vessels  B)

What do you mean no mention of shielding? They said right in the Locutus episode, when Worf and Data rescued Picard, their shuttle had to go through a shield of some sort. I think it was a stato electric shield, but a shield none the less. The rest of the Borg are fine, but I think shields of some sort would make sense.

Well, I rember a shot from the show where the weapons fire was repelled with the same effect as the drones, but I canot seem to find that shot, so I could be mistaken.  Either way, In first contace, and voyager, they had no energy shielding.

Yes, and did you see those shields Fralo? I mean, we don't see any ECM being deployed for any ship really, but they exist too ;)

Exactly Adm.  ^-^

??? what happened to the remore? it has ECM.... sort of....

Yes, all the ships in the game are supposed to have ECM (hence the miss chances), and some are supposed to have special active/passive abilities... but no passive abilities (like shields) are seen  ^-^

well, there are some, like secondary shielding, that are visible.  But, there are alot that arn't.

According to the Voyager novel Seven of Nine borg shields don't work on big ships like cubs, scouts and stations and such.

borg are fine as they are,and as for shields, they dont but they do adapt to frequencies of weapons used against them which cud be interpreted as sum type of shielding, but game while they are pretty realistic, just a increase in module variation i think is needed to allow for greater variation, weapon adation or ability to absorb that tech from the enemy, anyways had many a good time assimilating all that fell b4 me

@ binks

I don't count novels as cannon.(no offense)  Heck lots of people don't even consider Voyager as cannon.(I'm not one of them)  However 7of9 did modify the shields of the  Voyager, and some of their shuttles.  But your statement seems to support the theory that they have no shields.
