Hello All,
I'd like to release my modification of the latest Fleet Ops, a Cardassian avatar for the Dominion. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add another avatar in addition to the current two, so the Cardassian avatar replaces the Breen avatar. Please enjoy my addition of the Hideki, Galor and Keldon ships.

lol, well as far as i have been concerned, since downloading FO, it has never been a mod but a new game, and this is a mod for that new game, you cant called it ARMADA 2, cuz this is what armada 2 shoulda been, FO is a game, and this is a mod

I do like to see this ad on but i like the brean two. I wonder if the FO tem could make a coppy of ther advare with empty new slot?

actually you cna have upto 10 avatars i think, cant be bothered to recheck the .odfs but it is pretty simple to impliment, with permission im more then happy to fix it for him to upload.

It is possible for a large amount avatars for each race. It is actually not that hard to create the files for another avatar. I do infact, already have all the files on my computer to the addition of a third avatar to the Dominion side. However, in order to make the third avatar work, you have to implement the trigger system that Optec and Doca have made for Fleet Ops. The files for the new avatar have to be registered and put into the trigger system, which is something I currently cannot do. In this screenshot here:

infact i have been messing around with it and i can confirm you cna have 3 avatars working, i onyl did a rush job cuz chning all your fils now would take ages and its like 2.30 am, but tomorrow i will make it so your mod works with 3avatars but its easily done.

I would like like to see the cardys, gorn, and tholians could be intresting.
This way all the home grown races would be repersented.
You could make up a story line that would have made the 3 rase combind thow a technolagy thow a trade. We dont know what the gorn and tholians look like at the cerrent time so we can say that thay formed a full new parner-ship with new ships and weponds. To make shere the cardy ships will still be arown you could say thay joned latter and have not had time to fully asimalte in to the new organisation.

ok optec or cola i really need a had now,
i can get the station to do its first evolve, but on the second evolve none of the construction vessels show up at at all, even if i set it to evolve to "dom_cloning_facZA", it just doesn't have any build options so im guessing its not getting past the second evolve

yep thats handeled by the launcher.
pls respect that we cant also document everything we made for FO we are open for mods but we cant aid you in developing them. we need all our time to develop Fleet Operations. We might write some tutorials somewhere after v3 but we have no fix plans for that at the moment.

so no matter what happens, even though have created a whole "dom_nameX" extension and added the apprioriate files to the tech tree adn even created an avatar weapon, there is no way without editing your FO launcher to get the dam game to make the station auto evolve the second time?
well i guess my next question, is rather then aid me, have you released the launcher source so we can add to it or can it be done without the soruce, im more then happy to carry on digging around myself cuz i know ur busy.

Redmanmark, it sounds like you got to the point where I got. I was able to get the first change, but not the second. It is all based in the launcher. You can add other ships and stations that don't depend on the launcher. I don't know if the source for the launcher has been released, but it sure would be nice. Until then, we are our own for figuring out the trigger system.
