Current Project Status

Must be kind of new around here ask for INFO you get FUCK ALL but they are still alive and kicking

They just don't like to keep us up to date on what going on or tell us anything just how they roll.

Actually, I have been here for many years. My account info got lost so I made a new one. As for not getting any replays, I don't expect any right a away. DoCa, or the team will reply in time. Perhaps even a pic or 2 if they can find the time. So I just "bumped" the thread to keep it alive. I am very patient. Seems other here are not that patient. I always say (when it comes to game development) it takes time. Lots of time. So, everyone please be patient. I have a feeling that a few tid bits may come our way in due time.

Not only that but since they are working on the nx project they've stated that they really don't have anything and the little they do have to report on is all the boring coding and whatnot they haven't gotten to all the flashy stuff.

All of which has already been stated at some point and yes the guys never posted stuff frequently but 1. It makes the stuff they do release more exciting 2. They are a small group so it's not like they want to spend what time they do have on making posts to make all the impatient people happy most of us would rather see them doing more work on the game itself

Not trying to start anything but if you dont like it make your own mod/game see how far you get when your trying to complete it and make constant posts about their progress. Plus if I remember correctly these guys don't do this as their full time job.

Yea i agree I can also wait don't like to wait but Ive seen what they can do with a old engine can't wait to see what they can do with this I'm super excited

I think NX been going for 3 years now a news posts every 6 months would be nice keep the community up to date after all if they didn't want a community they would not of release this to us gave us the great fleet ops we have now and this website so a little love to the community would be nice.

"The FONX project is a completely new engine. A new game so to speak. Progress has been made over the years and hints from the dev team suggest that FONX might be heading to an alpha build, but don't quote me. Building games taks a lot of time. Even with a full staff of 100+ working on a game, it usually takes anywhere from 2 to 6 years to complete. FONX has been in development for around 3 years AFAIK. So with a small and dedicated team, this project can be considered moving on pace. Patients is a virtue. I am sure this project will be worth the wait."

So really, 3 years is not a lot of time building a new game. True, a few posts here and there would be nice, but it is completely understandable if they don't. And, they do show love in that they are working on this to give to the community for free AFAIK. So relax. An update will come in due time.

We all know making a new mod take time. But something that take time does not mean you can't give up dates or info

This is not a mod. It is in fact a hole new game (new engine and GFX). So understand that this is going to take some time.

He understands it all he just doesnt like the way they run things is all. He just wants updates on a normal and somewhat frequent basis regardless of what its about and thats just not how this group rolls. and not to push his buttons but no amount of expressing of those feelings is gonna change how they roll cause they would have changed already since hes not the only person who has expressed their feelings on it.

We all just have to wait thats how they roll and we just have to deal with it. Hope the devs know how much we appreciate their hard work and no matter how much over expression they get on how they run things thank you guys.

er somewhat frequent update i ask for one every 6 months that = to just 2 in a year i did not know that was somewhat frequent.

Would be nice to have a new project current progress page so we can see how the mod coming along but this ok if not if we get updates every month or 2 or something and not hear nothing for over 1 year.

You did say once a month or 2 which is what i was going on but fair enough i understand what your saying and don't disagree with you it is what it is though.

yea that post was not good that was asking for to much but a nice 6 month update would be nice that is only 2 time a year maybe it would stop people asking/thinking if this mod is still alive too.

After all the last news post they did is well over 2 years ago i get there don't wanna say much but a little give somewhere would be nice.

If people asking if this mod still alive mean and little more info/newspost/update/ little give way is needed.

If I recall correctly, that is just a mirror that's updated infrequently, and the development version is hosted on a private repository.
