the list goes on and on and on and...There is no denying that FO is significantly different.

i meant the issue where a request is answered and then we complain about it.

i dont recall borg construction as a request 
nor do i recall any requests for the artillery..

u mentioned we request and then complain about those implemented requests.
i dont see any such thread....

the race is too weak stuff is more discussion and the mods do not really take those discussions at face value. They themselves go over what is said and after checking, concur.

I dont see the examples backing up ur initial gripe of "But people seem to want even MORE, and then complain that their normal strategy doesn't work any more".

So i do not see why one gets touchy about people having requests and suggestions or complaints of certain gameplay issues, as long as those issues are not from the implemented requests.

Slight misinterpretation, I think. It wasn't about a specific example of one person asking for something then complaining about it.

It was that in general, we have people who want to make the races MORE varied. And we have people who want them LESS varied (but don't realise it). Looking at the forum in its entirety (the big picture, as opposed to a single post/thread), we can see that there are several members here who want BOTH.

If the dev team did put in all of these more radical changes that SOME people seem to want, it would just happen again, and again, with people complaining about the "complicated" gameplay styles, and other people shouting for more.
