Old Descent Model

Hey we were recently having a convo on teamspeak, about the old descent and i was looking through the gallery and couldnt find a pic

I was wondering if the devs or somone might have a pic, im talking about the descent before 3.0 it was in the 3.0 pr, the one that was like a galaxy class with two saucers i think, and 4 nacells, i just wanted to get a nice pic of it

you can get the model from 3.0PR  The problem is that if it was ingame, its textures would interferer with the current Descent's ones.  At least, thats what it did when I tried to put the old Canaveral back in.

hehe. the good old descent. her background story was that she was put together from parts of other unfinished or battle damaged vessels. the idea or better said the resulting design wasn't liked by many back then - which i can understand. the vessel itself was inspired by the dreadnought that is/was featured in starfleet command and klingon academy.

Lol it has a galaxy saucer, old Excelcior 2 nacelles, akira pylons and weapons pod, excelcior engineering sections and the back half of a steam runner sticking out of the saucer.  I guess the backstory makes sense now.

Nice, good of Federation kitbash engineering. I believe that was the battleship inspiration from SF1. The Dreadnaught was a cool looking single hulled ship with a roll bar.

ah, ok. i only remember that it's classified as a dreadnought in klingon academy

That's actually a very cool looking ship. However, I like the Proxima refit from ST:Legacy a little more (because the design elements were taken from the Constitution refit)

Doesn't it conflict with the current Descent?

shouldn't conflict. the old model uses federation_descent.tga as texture while the new descent has federation_descentA and federation_descentB as texture files
