I know they wont put it in, they will listen to the majority but I will still make my case.

I agree with Valorous. The warp was unbalencing. But so I won't be one dided I'll state what I think the warp should be. It should be a low warp speed on small ships like the venture and not equal or faster than the bigger ships like the galaxy, because of the size and power of a ship that small.

Oh and for those people that want warp here's a compramise to think about. Instead of putting the original A2 warp back in what about adding a button that when on allowed research for warp. Here's an example of what I mean:

Instant Action setup, warp button "on". Race Federation. LAUNCH
Game loads . . . .
build research station, build science station, build upgrade station
Upgrade station lists Engines, Shields, Weapons, Sensors, Warp Core small ships, Warp Core larg ships
Click Warp Core Large/Small
Reasearching . . . .
Icons Change to Warp 1 small ships (max being 3 due to power and size)
Warp 1 large ships (max being 9)
Click Warp 1 Large/Small
Researching . . .
Icons change to Warp 2 warp capacities at lvl 1 are avialable

This sounds like a good comprimise, In my opinion. I might even enjoy a feature like this but in beta 4 I don't want B3 to be delayed at all. Though if given a choice between possible warp and no warp I would choose no warp. Trust me I miss warp too, but the butifull design and time put into this Mod/Game to me far outweighs the lack of warp by universes.

Thanks For Reading

For the last time warp dosent ruin the balance as it did'nt in A2. The thought is rather stupid if theres already proof of it being fine. James idea is pretty interesting although warp is put on all ships standard.

Everyone knows my opinion on warp, and the third defiant class was of course the training ship for redaquad "USS Valient" i im not mistaken.

DITL:

Unit Run:

(NX 74205 USS Defiant)
NX 74205 USS Defiant
(NCC 75633 USS Sao Paulo)
(NCC 74210 USS Valiant)

plus 27 others built in total. 5 have been lost in all. The class remains in production.
Commissioned 2367 - present

The 2 defiants isnt wrong, the Sao Paulo was re registered as the defiant, samething happend with the enterprise e.

Only the original defiant had a cloak. A tribute to the guys who screw up the registries, the NX should have been replcaed with USS with teh second defiant, and y wasnt it the defiant-a.

is it me or are the maps in this mod ALOT smaller??

I remember playing single player and the maps were huge considering the speed of warp. It would take atleast 1 minute to get from one end of the map to the other at warp speed.

Why have the maps been shrunk? warp will be uncannon now because the maps are tiny but if there was the original sized A2 maps warp would be fine.

think of the scale of the normal A2 maps. there are planets scattered around the maps and each race starts near a planet so the idea is when you warp to an enemy base your warping into enemy space. You dont see them going to klingon or romulan space at impulse they go at warp!

You miss the point, warp wont be in the mod and it doesnt realy work the way it should in an rts, so just end this debate... All this forums is now, is people arguing.

Yeah it is, but arguing is fun. :P
