Haha, don't worry, Feds haven't had many changes added to them funnystuff ;)

Indeed Vorsath, I shall now add that in, thank you

As for combining the guides: I'm not exactly sure how that would work.. I mean, I'm sure everyone wants to keep their sections intact, so I don't know how we can splice together very similar portions (or get rid of redundant sections) without causing bickering. Plus, I don't think any guides will ever be finished unless there is a very long time between FO patches/versions. Even now, I think this is the only strategy guide current to 3.0.7--and I'm not done with the Borg, nor have I really started Dominion or Klingon stuff (and once the Fed/Romie redoes are popped out....  :( ).

Understandable, just saying it would be nice :)

Vorsath wrote:One thing u may want to add to the Fleet Actions section is that pressing 'R' will Recrew Borg ships and the Romulan Tavara class, rather than send them for Repairs like most other ships.  I just thought, someone reading it might not realize why they aren't going for repairs when pressing R.

Do you think that should be addressed in the game? Borg ships can't repair, but the tavara can. Maybe the tavara's recrew hotkey should be changed, or all recrew hot keys instead, to save hassle if you assimilate a tavara.

Are people having trouble with the downloads, I'm curious...

I've been trying to submit the file to AII Files for the last two days... but I don't know if it has worked... so the link I posted is the only site for download atm  :sweatdrop: (  The Hitchhickers Guide to Fleet Operations 2.7)

Another download site is up! The Hitchhicker's Guide to Fleet Operations, Star Trek: Armada 2 Downloads, Star Trek: Armada 2 Miscellaneous

Recrew issue has been addressed :)

A new version of the guide has been posted to Armada II files: I'll post a link when it is accepted :)

Enjoy

By the way, do people want me to post an additional file on filefront too, or just on AII files?  :whistling:

Can I have a non-FF download link please, I keep saying that my security protocals block the download servers there.  :(

Sure, Gamer: what site would you prefer (I haven't looker for any others--those were just the ones recommended by Optec) :)

Well, I can download from mega_upload, if you have a site of your own that could work... the only requirement is:

No reported history of security risk through downloads (filefront had that problem, Norton does not like any site with that history).

Hmmm, don't have a site there: I'll test it out tonight... I'll email you a copy beforehand though, just in case I can't figure it out

Btw Gamer, if you wish to download additional versions, the guide is posted on the main download page for FO: Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Fleet Operations 3.0

Ok, since AII is being extremely EXTREMELY slow, here's another link:   The Hitchhicker's Guide to Fleet Operations (V2.8 )

Ok, an update from AII files for ya:

Hello Dominus_Noctis, The file you submitted to Armada2Files.com: The Hitchhicker's Guide to Fleet Operations (V2.8) (58the_hitchhickers_guide_to_fleet_operations_v2.8.pdf) Has been not been approved and was not added to Armada2Files.com. This could be due to one of the following reasons: 1.) The file you submitted is not related to the game the site is about, or even worse, not game-related at all.2.) Your submission was in conflict with the submission rules & guidelines3.) Your submission was not accompanied by a proper description and/or screenshots If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the staff of Armada2Files.com (team@armada2files.com). Regards,  The Armada2Files.com Teamhttp://www.armada2files.com

[s]So I can't submit anymore files to them clearly, because my file is NOT related to armada 2. Obviously. and is obviously a plagiarism. Oh, I should mention, that the description was the same for the last guide plus additional change information... so I don't get it at all. Could anybody familiar with this sites odd submission requirements give me some info (it took them 4 days to get back to me).
[/s]

Insta-Update: apparently they HAVE accepted it (spelled wrong... hopefully I didn't do that), but decided to send that email anyway... very odd:
