do i rename the old fed-warpin-specialA to fed-warpin-specialAY/Z or just Y or Z?

Fed_warpin_special (the Station weapon) redirects to Fed_warpin_specialE, which redirects to Fed_warpin_specialA (ehich has the ships in). I'd copy all of them and add the avatar letter at the end.

ok i copied and renamed all the 'fed-warpin-special' files and renamed them accordingly but it didn't seem to help they still just appeared where i clicked. Also I modified the weapons on the veteran to include starbase-level weapons but they won't fire, do ships not support any weapon? i copied the weapon name straight from the odf of the outpost. could it be a techtree issue? I even added the quantum pulse to mayson's outpost and it didn't seem to fire any help?

A big reason a ship that already has active weapon hitpoints can't fire is the hardpoints aren't valid or the place in the weapon list (weaponX) either missed a weapon or replaced an existing one.

does this mean it can only have 10 weapons? 'maxextraweapons = 10', my version of the veteran Excalibur for Risner has 12 weapons,

Maxextraweapons is the maximum amount of additional weapons a Craft may assimilate from other GameObjects. In Fleet Operations, this is also the maximum number of extraWeapons a Craft may carry.

Craft - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Fleet Operations

If you have a question about commands it is generally best to check for it in the guide to clear up issues :)

i have downloaded the excalibur and am going to put it into the game tonight, but one of the instructions says it may not work without the modified miranda sprite?

Do we know if this is the case? As dont want to waste my time and then have to remove it?

Also i extracted the RAR file and there doesn't seem to be any actual odf files for the ship itself? there are odf for the ship to go into the respective yards? but i cant see the actual odf for the ship?

There also doesn't seem to be a sound folder for the ships weapons and what not?

Also no texture or SOD folders/files?

am i missing something?

It should work fine without the Miranda sprite :)

The 'Miranda Sprite' thing was for a previous version of FO.

Did you download both files? It had to be split between the first and second post because it was too big.

I downloaded the other one and it didn't extract properly, so some things might not have extracted. I'd try this one.
