I think that's the Dawnstar-Class.

I thought this one was the Dawnstar-Class
Dawnstar Class retexture v3 Download, Star Trek: Armada 2 Ships

While that one on the picture is a galaxy with a new upper section (maybee the old where used to build Nebulas ^^).
Just look at the 2. pic. It is the lower section of a galaxy. No other starship do have this deflector.

That Galaxy refit has the wrong nacelles to be a Dawnstar, and I don't think the Dawnstar is actually a Galaxy refit but a 'middle-ground' between Galaxy and Ambassador.

Aye, they've always said that, but its always looked more like a Galaxy/Sovereign cross to me...but maybe I'm just seeing things wrong.

I do see a few Sovereign similarities in it, especially in the nacelle pylons and the black patches on the Saucer.

I remember that ship. It's called the USS Allegiance. It was designed for the "Bitter Homecoming" fan based movie. I would love to see this built for fleetops. here is the link showing it entering a space dock.

ILMs CGI Nebula class.

They were lazy (as usual as seems to be the case for ages now) and just kitbashed a galaxy when DS9 moved from the physical model of the Nebula to CGI.

The first three Nebula class models (Melbourne, Phoenix, and whatever the first one to have the tactical pod was) all had a deflector shaped differnt.

The CGI Nebula was a kitbash.

They used the Galaxy as a referrence and did not have the original Nebula to work with. Naturally it would look more 'Galaxy' than the others.

I dont suppose we could get an updated version of this, would be pretty awsome.

And Tyler, it also helps that they didnt bother (as was often the case during ILMs DS9 work) to do any checking at all.

They also regularly changed the scale of ships for DS9, to a high degree, the defiant for example (depending on the episode) appears to be from 50 meters long to a couple hundred meters long.

Sometimes they're lazy, sometimes there's bad circumstances. The Nebula having a Galaxy-style deflector is more of the latter.

I could see about it, several Nebula types would be a good thing. Kow how I can find the creator?

Oh, it linked to your thread, I thought it was yours.

I just meant your 3.0.7 nebula varriants mod, and updating it for the latest version.

I have updated it to a 3.1.5 version, but the original author gave no contact details.

I wonder if it would work if I put up the FO specific ships and give a link to the original file? It would be rather annoying to people who wanted to download.

I found a comment he made on A2Files, so I can send an email now.

I think the cardassians have to go with the boxy approach.
