As apart of giving the community a better understanding and a better look into the development of Fleet Ops, you can now visit a development blog run by Zeich. He joined our modeling team a few years back and made many of the new Federation models you saw in the last patches, like the Ambassador for example. I'm quite sure you will find a few yet unrevealed news on his page in the future.

I find it really very cool that we are getting more in-depth looks at how fleet opps comes together. And also I see some lil tidbits that Im hoping we are gonna see soon  :thumbsup:

I have a question if you don't mind answering, how in the world do you convert from maya to SOD?

I actually convert the maya file to an obj file.  Then the obj can be loaded into 3D max and can be converted into SOD.

Hm interesting... though it must have cost a pretty penny for both softwares.
