I do have a question about boarding.  Is this just like transporting for the other races?  Or can the Borg assimilate and actually end up with more Borg than they started with?



I doubt that is possible, but who knows  :whistling:

The Devastating Attack cooldown is per ship, so every ship can use it only once every minute, but if you have a few vessels at hand you can create a longer shield failure by activating the ability for every ship after the effect of the last one wears off.

Boarding is basically the same as normal transporting, just with the difference that the target does not need to have lowered shield and that it transports a large amount of drones (100 for a cube) at once. a smaller unit like a Saber or a Bird of Prey might instantly be overwhelmed by so much Borg stuff floating through their corridors.

It really looks great, however I don't understand few things about new Borg tech:
f.e. If You You use devastating attack for 2 credits will You lost this 2 credits for good or will they regenerate after 1 minute and You can use them again?
about multitargeting: If the cube (ore Sphere or anything else...) is figting against one ship, will it only fire it's forward weapons, or all?,

The credits are required to unlock the Collective Feature. Once unlocked the Borg ships can use the feature for special energy, just like most other special weapons behave :)

A Borg vessel with multi targeting (caused by multiple beam weapons installed) are split into 2 parts. one set of weapons are user controlled and will only be fired on the vessel the user selected as a target. the multi-targeting weapons chose their targets automatically and their target selection cannot be changed by the player.
All Borg ships have a complete set of their weapons on each side, so they will always be able to fire all of their weapons, no matter on which side the target is. You wont have to rotate your massive cubes to have fun :)

Yes, but will the multitarget weapons fire at the same target as userc ontrolled when dealing with one target?

So many cool abilities... so few credits to spend on them! I hate choosing between loads of cool stuff! :lol:

All these abilities sound really interesting, and its gonna be fun seeing all the combos players come up with. The countdown to the Alpha Quadrant's apocalypse ebbs ever closer to 0 *evil cackle*.

So when each of these is researched, several ships will be able to use it? Will the weapon ones (like the Nanites, Slicer or transwarp drive) need the ship to have a certain module installed or will it come for free on the chassis?

One thing though; won't this mean lots of greyed out buttons on the command pallette if each ship has the potential to mount these weapons but only has a few of them at a time? Or have you found some way to stop that?

nope collective features are not bound to a module.

yep, borg vessels will have a few more "grayed" buttons, but cause a borg player has only a hand full of vessels - and all vessels have the same buttons - that shouldn't be much of a problem. if you select an average federation fleet you will get the same amount of buttons.

The images for the special abilities quality rages from excellent to could use work.

Devastating Attack - the ship parts from the ship has a stoke around it witch which the image.
Perfect Logistics - images dose not match the function.
Sensor Relay -  LAcks detail and looks blocky.
Slizer - You don't need the back shape in the back round the beautiful beam speaks for its self the black shape is a distraction.
Uni Complex - This could use some work the cereal is not needed and the holding beam could be more dominate.

Granted, none of them are perfect, but ewm, they're bloody BUTTONS.

And as far as buttons go, they're pretty damn good.

However, the sensor relay is, actually, perfect.  I don't see how you can improve something that awesome.

What is the cooldown for the transwarp drive?

the Transwarp Drive shares the global cooldown of all special weapons - namely 5 seconds. However the energy costs wont allow you to jump in and out in a short period of time.

Its my opinion.

I said it to be-able to telling fo on what I see they could do better not to criticize what they are doing not so well. complements make on feel go but not much ells. I wonted to give them real feed back.

So... How are the Borg ships 'weighted' compared to the fleets of other races? As we saw in the video, a cube or two is a match for an entire Federation fleet, but how do some of the smaller Borg ships stack-up? I'm not asking for specifics that you may or may-not be willing to provide, but in general, how strong will the smaller Borg ships be?
