Tyler wrote:Scimitar was unbalanced, even for a movie supership. Enterprise only lasted that long and was able to damage it because Shinzon didn't want Enterprise destroyed; he wanted Picard. By the time he decided to just go all-out, the damage was done.
Plus, Picard took advantage of Shinzons arrogance.
Aren't most damaged, vengeful clones with a great influence over a long enslaved race with a warrior instinct and the capability to create innovative weaponry and shielding like that?
But on the other hand, I've never known Romulan Commanders with powerful ships to be very wise at all.

Some how the "Clone wanting Vengance" story seems a little bit "already used". Though technically Shinzon was not Romulan. Though I must say, I can only imagine what would happen if Weyoun 9 had his personality (except against the Feds in general, not specifically Picard).

Well, we was at the service of the Romulan (or maybe they where a bit lazy and let the remans do all the dirty work with other cool, smaller, scimitar-like ships).
I can't believe that you think that Nemesis wasn't a cool movie! (Yes, we've all seen an evil clone go out and try to kill the original before, but it was still a darn good movie)
Anyways, we're all straying from the subject, so I'm gonna ask if the "Impact!" update has been released.

This work continues to astound
I just had one thought though, the phaser beam effects look very "solid" and contained like they did in the nemesis film i guess, and always have in Armada i suppose. In the shows they tended to look more fragmented on the outer edges of the beam with multi shaded particles in the middle.
One of the few things that I liked about star trek online was the phaser effects had this fragmented, fuzzy effect like in the shows and also have this cool burn out effect after discharge was completed.
I wondered what people prefer? or know what I'm talking about lol
The screens are amazing though

oh, so since there is a video, then im assuming it wont be out for a while

I'm assuming that once the video is out, it'll be a display of the (nearly) completed effects, so the patch itself couldn't be long after. In fact, why not a simultaneous release? Please?!
But seriously, take all the time you need, if it means that I can watch my base get rolled over, in style.

Laff ... no! I wanna see the progress before it's out!
I'm sure they're working hard on the patch and we'll all just have to be patient
. I'll be excited to see a vid when it's available
