Okay.

If there are example mods, can stock A2 be one of them?  Now why am I calling stock A2 a "mod?"

yeah, if you looked at the first post, you should see that he was experimenting with a2 As an example mod.

I saw that.

i think fleetops is far better than a2, and if one of them had to bow down and be called a lowly mod, i'd rather give that name to a2.

more people play fleetops online than play a2 now, so a2 is the rarer thing to see.

justifies having a2 as an addon to fleetops, rather than the other way around.

You can read my thoughts on this in the first newspost.

DOCa Cola: Master of the non-answer

Nevertheless, awesome stuff you guys have going on here. Given the way that this seems to work, I'd rather wait for all the major bugs to be ironed out before the next release; I wouldn't want something taking info from the wrong directory :sweatdrop:

By the way, what about stuff like the Input.map and Label.map files.  Can they use the @include or #include commands?

"Somewhere between 0 and 100 %" is probably the most detailed answer you'll get.

This mod not only REPLACES Star Trek Armada II but actually enhances your gameplay. Many bugs have been worked on in this mod, and even some unaddressed issues with the original Star Trek Armada II. The ships even have their own Starfleet Registry numbers on the hull, something the original Star Trek Armada II never solved. The new soundtrack and background music more closely follows the Star Trek movie themes so prevalent at the theater. Plus with the new races and ships introduced into this mod, it truly makes for an enjoyable game experience. And with this game being fully supported by Win 7, all bases have been well covered. Plus the problems with the mouse being positioned too far to the left or too far to the right have also been solved. Wherever you place the mouse. gameplay is uninterrupted and smooth. The new maps are crisper in detail and the AI has been improved there is even a "merciless" setting for the enemy AI if you feel the extreme urge to have your forces pwnd by your enemy. This mod is a 10 on the gaming RTS meter.

Go somewhere else then.

It removes features that don't match what the devs (and so many of the players) want the game to be like. And adds so much more than it removes. You couldn't make anything anywhere near like what these guys have done, so stop whining.

Everyone has different ideas about what should or should not be in any game. Don't assume your ideas are the best for everyone.
