For the developers efforts, it gets a 9.5.  And don't get me wrong, I love the new compatibility features, but there just aren't enough to get that extra [sup]1[/sup]/[sub]2[/sub] point.

There's no reason for me to try.  The Fleet Ops developers are making a game based off of some science fiction series, I'm building a multi-purpose simulator.  Two completely different applications.

what me annoys about your post is that it seems to only exist to provoke/for flaming purposes.
i respect every opinion and i consider FO far from perfect myself - but as this is not this first time i observe this kind of behavior in your posts, consider this as some kind of a warning

That is not my intention.  Sorry.

So please, explain to us, what WAS the intention of that post? Aside from trolling, I can't see any possible purpose behind it.

I was referring to the creativity, ingenuity, and outright quality of the work, not the subject of it.

Anything to discuss about extended mod support? Cool.

Any additional tard comment that does not refer to the starting post or related topic in a constructive and mannered way will lead to a fat warning. And don't force me to close this thread.

I've been bothering people on how to mod FO, the current subject being hex editing, textures, and earlier some annoying scalesod issues. Are there any plans to cover these topics? Alot of new modders would find any structured info on this very helpful, and it would at least for the most part, eliminate us new guys playing 20 questions with the pros and taking their time away.

Once I figure all of the issues out, I would be more then happy to add answers and "how to" sections to your modding guide...but it will take some time considering I still have no clue what I'm doing.

Yes, we are working on improving the info in the fleetops guide continously. We have dominus and zebh who are doing a great job on maintaining it. However as they are both not involved in programming or modding fleet operations internals directly but are still very dedicated to the project they are working on with us as team. So though they have assembled a lot useful info about modding in the guide, they rely on either info on armadas/fleetops internals from us developers and/or input from experienced armada/fleetops modders. Because writing documentation is a very time intensive thing for us, especially feedback from the latter is also very desired :)

Given time and experience, I'd be more then willing to lend some help...Especially considering paypal hates me.

I know exactly what you mean.  Now adays I only have time to manage one project for a short time each day, but if I had more time I would certainly help write more tutorials, and update the previous ones I helped with.

Yup, we could always use more help in this regard, especially right now when I'm spending the vast majority of my time testing ODF commands in order to figure out defaults and what they do precisely, for the ODF commands pages  :sweatdrop:
