I am going to discuss and show off a new ship that is going to be a part of the Federation redo.  You saw the beginnings of this ship on my blog as a Saber refit.  We took that design and decided to use it in another fashion.  She will appear as a Federation-Klingon Mixed tech ship and will be called the Okinawa class.

First impression?
Wtf?! A Fed-Ship?  Can't be.

Second impression?
Klingon-Fed-Mixed-Tech? Its designer was a genius!  :woot:
This ship really looks like a hybrid. It's not too much fed and it isn't too much kling. Kudos! I love it!
The only thing I don't really know about is the sensor pod. But maybe it's just the angle.

the sensor pod is actually an experimental quantum phaser. Happy toasting! :innocent:

I love that ship one question though whats with the space between the plasma coils and the end of the nacelles??

Ok..... my Prediction of this is....

Okinawa Class
Role: Destroyer/Light Cruiser
Size: Medium-Small
Subtype: Experimental Defensive Light Cruiser (Anti-Support/Anti-Experimental Configuration)

Armament:
- 2x Pulsed Quantum Phasers (Range: Long)
- 1x Quantum Phaser Beam (Range: Long)

Special Weapons:
- Quantum Collapser Wave (Causes a Quantum Cascade creating system failures within nearly all vessels within radius. Support ships and vessels with advanced systems may have longer system failure times as it would take longer to repair. Minimum effect being 3 seconds, however can elevate to as long as 10 seconds or more depending on complexity of systems as well as experience of the crew.)

Passives:
- Hyperphasic Integrity Field (Will be explained...)
- Trinary Weapon Systems (Will be explained...)

Hyperphasic Integrity Field:

This vessel has an Integrity field that continuously fluctuates its energy frequency. Specifically developed for the sole purpose of partially counteracting harmful effects of Specialized Weaponry, it reduces Special Weapon damage by 13%, and reduces damage from Non-Standard Conventional Weaponry (weapons with special passive configurations, like the Shrike's pulses for example) by 8%. However Short Ranged Weaponry would deal slightly greater damage as the system may not be able to adapt against the incoming weapons prior to impact. (So a short Ranged special weapon may only get a 8 or 9% reduction because of not enough time for the computer to adjust the integrity field)

Trinary Weapon Systems:

This vessel is equipped with Trinary Weapon Systems. Being more reliable and fail safe. The weapons systems get a 20% less chance of system failure in comparison to the usual chances (so if another ship gets a 10% weapon failure, then this vessel gets 8% instead). Also these systems can take a lot more punishment and still be operable. Making it preferable of a design. However it is rather costly in resources and hard to manufacture. So far only a few designs are compatible with this system (Okinawa being an exceptional example since it was built for these).

So far I believe the Federation of all races lack an Anti-Support vessel. I think this would be great as a vessel specifically aimed as a counter for Support and Experimental classes.

How dare you?!  :fish:
The Monsoon is awesome! One of my favourites  :pimp:

Cool thing. So, as it is a phaser and not a sensor it's totally awesome of course  :innocent:
Can't wait to see that baby in action :naugthy:
