Nah, no Defiant rammed the Regents Flagship... that was the Cube. Annoying little pest.

Though i love the Intrepid, i am not sure if i love or loathe this new special.

I like the heavy photon torpedo, but TBH i was kind of hoping for an Intrepid with an Isokinetic Canon.Talking about Patterns gives us the perfect opportunity to discuss one of the Federation’s earliest units: the Intrepid. Nearly as fast as the Monsoon, the short ranged Intrepid is a heavy Photon Torpedo wielding unit. This makes it ideal for dealing with enemy Defensive units (as the basic Torpedo never misses these units). The Intrepid also can quickly demolish structures. Do not underestimate the Intrepid's capabilities at raiding mining stations (though not freighters) and getting out quickly. As an Allround ship, it is more supply efficient and more resistant to disabling effects than other vessels. It takes reduced damage from medium ranged warships with its Autonomous Defense AI passive, yet does reduced damage to Support vessels.Evasive Patterns is the Intrepid’s only researchable Special Technology.

That does sound more like a vet ability, though.
I'm guessing it'd take a long, long while before they could mass produce a meaningful number of those.

Sounds awesome but will take a while(for me atleast) to get the hang of this but I know it will be worth it.

This is all cool stuff, but I hope that the game won't grow to be so enormously complex that it will chase people away!

This update is supposed to make gameplay less complex. The profiles will remove the chassis size and all the rumble/confusion that came with it.

One question, where's my "Like" button? -.-Sounds great though, especially if you take the information we've already been given and make tanky ships do attack petterns which I presume will be a aggro/taunt effect while the others do evasive with their placate/-aggro effect effectively allowing the fragile ships to take less damage and slip away while the tanks taunt a bit and cover them. Now that's teamwork! /vote Borg untauntable research upgrade though -.-

What's the map in the picture? I played on it the other day and it was great, it was a 3 player FFA, but I can't find it now.
