Well I have to say I think you should keep the gamespy linkage, I play through gamespy each and every day. And there is a group of Fleet Ops people who have been playing in the lobby lately. I play A2 each and every day guys, have for almost 5 years now, I do take some time off every now and then but thats normally not my idea. I think the idea here is making the mod available too the greatest amount of people on the most playable and useable forums. Hey its all good using direct ip connection, but where is the advertisement, getting the mod out there in front of people and getting them interested has too be part of the plan..............YES I know, omg is that really Bear lol. yeah more or less looks great so far guys glad to see you still at it..

gamespy compatibility is now fixed. i will distribute a fake armada2.exe that captures all parameters from gamespy when launched and forwards it to fleetops.exe. worked quite well for me today without changing or patching anything on gamespy config itself :)

Normally when members from my clan play fleet ops they have been forced to go direct from the disc to join gamepsy. I havent tried the patch to see if this has been fixed. I must say that I am in hopes that this does work. Even if people join and they dont have the mod, they can get the idea and maybe they will show interest and give it a go. And most of the time we place FLEET OPS in the room name, that does seem to assist most but lol, there are always a few.

Check your FleetOps directory and click the "Nethelp" file. Scroll on buttom. there you'll find all port information.

Greetings and well met; i found the solution for the network problem: it's the fu ah lovely firewall i have add an IP-Address manually to the so called "trusted zone" otherwise i can't be pinged and stuff (!sic)

So has gamespy a fix IP adress or does it use an IP-range or the IP adress of the host?

Oh and thanks for your replies; you are all so wunderbar :->
