V3: Gamespy Option Useful?

how about you set ur Router if u have one to DMZ that basically kills all problems or if ur gonna play FO just switch off ur firewall

as i have never had a problem with FO on Gamespy

hmm i think i can't configure my router (my ISP don't allow it !sic) anyway i think i'm going to buy a better firewall that allows me to configure ports (can't do this right now) any suggestions ?

Well I had Kerio firewall b4, it is free but its very good imo. Served me well at least :)

i've been ok simply with windows firewall that comes with SP2 of Media center.

ad XP firewall : yep if you have Windows XP then it is ok and sufficient

i did some research today and well i think i solved ALMOST ALL my problems!
I don't start talking about the usefullness of Personal-firewalls now (there is none!)

I have bad experiences with gamespy. The tool has adds, popped up sites for me which in turn did harm again and even when uninstalling I kept having popups from random sites until seriously scanning, tracking and destroying any type of malware I seemed infected with.

No, I never used gamespy, the ingame feature works fine.
