imagine how that station could become a system or defensive outpost (not starbase)

or that could be a system starbase or dss station as it wont have much in weaponry but can repair and build a greater range of ships...

or this an Offensive or Defensive Outpost with the outer ring having a phaser strip if offensive or if defensive a point defense system on the ring and so on...

Unity one is already already in FO, and it is a great model.

I went ahead and made one but i cant find the transformer for my scanner. However ill describe it... It looks similar to the spacedock but i added a large structure to the outside with the intention of being able to add various pods for the attack and defense system from the first idea. However since this is not how its going to be done ill rethink the design slightly, to make it more unique. Also ill just add the pods as part of the design.

i know unity one already is but this isnt unity one, its a starbase... i was merely pointing to the picture as to inspire ideas about looks

thats the idea, basically the pods are just added for you, i was originally going to do a pod idea but it would of got messy if you didnt choose pods in certian orders and stuff so just think of it as adding them yourself... hopefully optec will grant the request i asked him, then i can do my second idea

ok but i cant put them up until tomorrow though im redoing the station and its going to be better now. It will look less like the spacedock but will still share some design features (the large central colom mainly)

Ok the first picture is my initial design for the starbase.
Then the second one is a picture from the top down. I shaded one section you will have to use you imagination for the other 3.
The last is a little bit of a WIP because it doesn't have the saucer correctly drawn on, but that just because mostly i don't know how to draw it correctly.
Anyway i was thinking for weapons that this station could have a quantum pulses, Phasers, torpedoes, The Point Defense phaser as a passive weapon (with a 50/50 chance of hitting the torp) The Fighters from the avalon. Also just in case someone decides to try to be cute and sneak by this station i think it should deploy a few mines around it. (Redman we can talk about how to make this work sometime) Also any constructive criticism or drooling over my station is welcome(hehe). Really though pretty please leave feedback

I like it. we could use it as the starbase but keep the current one and shrink it down a bit and use if for an perimiter for the federation. It could build just repair ships.

i think the idea is to have a large outpost like one of the deep space outpost that can talk on a large fleet of ships

well i was thinking about what modules that this station should have and i came up with this list
Phasers – 2 possible upgrades
Level 1 – Adds a Phaser type weapon to the station: range long, additional weapons subsystem durability.
Level 2 – Increases the range of the phaser to artillery.
Torpedoes – 3 possible upgrades
Level 1 – Adds a Photon Torpedo to the station: range long, additional weapons subsystem durability.
Level 2 – Adds a Burstfire Quantum Torpedo to the station: range long, additional weapons subsystem durability.
Level 3 – Adds an additional Burstfire Quantum Torpedo to the station: range long, increases the range of the Photon to artillery, additional weapons subsystem durability.
Pulses – 3 possible upgrades
Level 1 – Adds a Pulse type Phaser to the station: range long, additional weapons subsystem durability.
Level 2 – Adds a Quantum Burst type weapons to the station: range long, additional weapons subsystem durability.
Level 3 – Adds an additional Pulse type Phaser designed to target incoming torpedoes. (50/50 chance of hit)
Armor – 2 possible upgrades
Level 1 – Adds additional Armor to the station:
Increased hull rating, increased all subsystem durability.
