a2files has a poll up about fleetops. voting is still open, u can vote on the main page.

i dont understand how.

the vote is about fleetops so i think people on this site should vote on it too.

i just wish there were more options on the poll. right now it seems so black and white, either 'fleetops is amazing great woooooo' or 'fleetops meh'. i went for the only mod option cos it is the only mod i play.

i saw that some of the options mention "fleetops fanboys" i presume some fleetops players troll on that site so i made the joke of going to troll. ive never seen any of these threads since i dont frequent a2 files.

Their lack of faith disturbs me...

FO is fun, but I think it's really just a more polished version of every other mod in a way. What I really want is a mod that focuses on using very few ships at a time rather than huge fleets. That should make people care about their ships more and help to give them a bit more character.

The vote isn't on Fleet Ops really - it's on patting one's back for standing up to the 'historical Eveel of FO': options on that poll were not aimed at seeing anything unbiased as usual - the only ones that don't have a negative connotation are the two options which basically say the same thing (paraphrased) "Fleet Ops is a mod like any other". The "amazing great wooo" option is designed to elicit a reaction of "wtf are all these fanboys" (as you see in the comments). It's a trolling poll. The poll seems designed for/created by people who have a beef in some way with FO or its community, so it's better to just ignore it in my opinion.

i see, i have a feeling i have wandered into a war where people on a2files dont like fleetops lol.

if they wont give the poll a reasonable option of 'fleetops is ok' then we will all have to vote for fleetops is the best lol.

i dont know if its better than other mods since i havnt tried any other mods lol.

As  some one whom used to  visit A2 files  I have to say yeah they have a lot of neet eyecandy.        However I feel as a whole they(most mods) come up short in playability . The reason is because  a lot of the mods will  not cooperate with  each other. Fleet Ops  is a "UNIFIED  Mod" where all the components  in the mod will work together. Not like some of the mods  on other sites  that  promise  Uberships ,  but as soon you  load and try to play  the ship yeah it is Uber . Shutting down every function on your ship and Shutting down every thing on your computer as well.

I'd post and explain the opposing view, but I'm worried I'd start a flame war. And yes, we have had people trolling in the comments about how if it isn't for Fleet Ops then its a pile of ****.

easy neb, i thought there was a joke going on in the poll but it turns out to be on a rather sensitive issue. i think everyone should take a light hearted look at it.

I'm not sure why everyone is so worked up. I mean it's not like you can really compare Fleet Ops to other mods. Most mods alter the original game, but don't change it drastically. Fleet Ops is a completely different game which really has very little in common from the original Armada II beyond the fact that they use the same engine.

I agree with the last poster the options on that poll are really biased so w.e. i dont really go on a2 files anymore anyway.
