Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

i7 and Nvidia.

Nvidia for the reasoning of 3D Vision as opposed to AMD's multi-screen setup. You probably won't be able to get a full 3D Vision package (Monitor and 3D Glasses) for under $1000 with the box but the option is there for an upgrade.

Norton is not that nice to your performance i must say

Triple-channel architecture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yes. Triple Channel is nice.

But the memory controller of Sandy Bridge doesn't support Triple Channel and neither does LGA 1155. The same is true for USB 3.0 by the way. Only Ivy Bridge boards will have USB3.0, so that's probably why it isn't mentioned anywhere on the HP website.

Boggz-

If money isn't an issue you really should consider getting either the 550Ti or HD6850 that are offered. They will blow the cheap HD6670 out of the water.

6850s are amazing. I have a 4890, which I think is not much worse if at all than the 6670, and I still get a little bit of video lag in massive games. If I ever upgrade it will be to a 6850, as most of my friends have them and highly recommend them.

Arash doesn't read posts, does he?  :D  I've said like 3 times that a little sparrow is gifting it to Boggz.

And yeah, the 600W power thing seems like it's gonna be pretty power-intensive.  I'll have to make sure I turn it off or onto super duper power saver mode when I'm not using it.

it will only take what it needs + something.. not 600W all time..

i have 450W power supply and its usually taking ~120 - 340W depending on whats going on

i did read the post  but unless this person is going to pay for your electric bill that computer is going to eat energy that will cause a global power crisis ... and no matter how low you set a computer on "power" saver, it will only make your computer over-heat (i think{because it slows down the fan speed?}) there-fore you need to shut it down often to make sure it cools down (unless you don't mind having the components inside the computer melting although gold has a very high melting point.. ;])

Lets not forget that a PC will heat up a room(like mine) and lets definitely not forget the most important part: you are already hot headed you don't need a PC to assist. Now add me on facebook.

2 things here. First newer 5800 series and higher ATI cards DO support 3D, and second about all this power supply stuff, most power supplys wont use the max rating while they are on. Just cause you have a 600W power supply all that means is that your capable of using 600W, if your setup only draws 400W thats all your actually using, and wont necessarily up your electric bill.

Actually, when using a power supply. A higher power supply then you're actually using is more efficient then having a power supply that is using about 90% of its capabilities most of the time. So have a higher power supply then that you actually need should be more efficient. Which means, less of a power drain.
