since this seems to be the random thread for anything remotely interesting you guys should check out the new google doodle.

it should be on any google search main page (google.co.uk or google.de for example) i've heard that it might only work on english language google search. i don't have corroboration on that, i tested it on google.de and it still worked.

Anyone up for a laugh with a nazi-aliens conspiracy?

Seriously they need to perform brain transplant for those who actually believe this, any brain will do.

Even this would be an improvement.

It is almost incredible how jealous people are of the Nazis! They simply cannot comprehend how German technology of that era could have been so good so they shovel slander as much as they can to compensate for the shitty tanks and stuff they built against them!

German vehicles and flying machines had an average 7:1 kill ratio, the only reason they lost was because they were so hopelessly outnumbered!

Nooo mustn't have that, the germans weren't smarter, they reverse engineered alien stuff. That is what makes Andre's embedded video so funny!

By the way, your mom said to go play outside, do what you're told!

You are right, German equipment did have a high kill-loss ratio...when it got into battle at all. Almost all their armoured vehicles were overengineered to the point that most were abandoned due to mechanical fault rather than enemy action. In fact, it's almost a trademark of German equipment of that era; overengineering. Producing a plethora of different designs all built with thousands of parts is not the way to win a war. The Soviets and the Allies proved that sticking to basic, proven designs and mass producing them is the proper way of economically conducting a war.

Had Germany focused on the PzKpfw IV, or even the Panther, along with the StuG III and something like the JgPz38t then it might have stood a chance. Ditto the Luftwaffe. Tanks need to operate with almost total air superiority if they are to survive at all, no matter how thick their armour or big their gun.

German equipment of the time was rather like having an Alienware PC, but that half the time it won't turn on and it might randomly at any point bluescreen on you. Allied and Soviet equipment is an old AMD. Not fast or pretty, but it's stable.

This is impressive to me because it also has custom lyrics, rather than just using the original lyrics.

I can't (at least I don't know how to) set an embed to start at a particular time. so a youtube link will have to do:

Part of a TED talk by Frans De Waal. If only our own society was so honest and forthright about inequality in the way the Capuchins are.

If you want the glorious embed experience, skip to 12:30 manually:
