Good sci fi tv series

Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

Red Dwarf is good for a laugh, others I used to watch that haven't been mentioned are Alien Nation and V (old series)...

Babylon 5 is pretty rad though :)

I think there was such a thread some months ago.

But ok.

Babylon 5 (best one)
Crusade (not that good because it was planed like bab5 but just one season was made)
Space – Above and Beyond
Battlestar Galactica (old one, but just the first part... and new one)
Firefly
Farscape (Like it more then Firefly)
Space Battleship Yamato
Earth 2 (no spaceships)
Earth Final Conflict (nearly no spaceships but much story)
Lexx (very strange)
Cowboy Beebop
The 2D Clone Wars series (much more fun then the 3D childseries)
Raumpatrouille Orion (Raumpatrouille – Die phantastischen Abenteuer des Raumschiffes Orion) https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... ille_orion :D

There are some more Animes, but more with big robots then ships.

I have haven't watched Babylon 5 yet DO IT... DO IT NAAAAOOOH!!!

The CGI never looked to got in that series but it got very good story lines and characters. Don't forget to watch the pilot movie before you start with the series.

Nebula_Class_Ftw wrote:Doctor Who is pretty good (new series, haven't seen the old one.) Battlestar Galactica almost is, but it goes over the top with drama (and religion, to the point that the last hour of the last episode is basically Luddite (technophobic like the Amish) televangelism) in the new series, and a bit too much narm in the old series. Futurama is a funny one, it's like Simpsons in future and space, but more funny.

Dr Who is classic.
1ast and 2nd are the best. I highly recommend

I was named after Logan's Run (the movie), but I've read plot summaries and it doesn't sound very good.

The battle sequences from lost tales were amazing.  Just goes to show what good 'ol B5 can do when it's given a budget on par with certain "other" sci-fi series. :whistling:

Even with the budget they were given for the show, B5's space battles were far better than anything put out in its day, and even competes with later stuff, in my opinion.

I think this four minute video of Babylon 5 sums up the entire series quite nicely: YouTube

Battlestar Galactica (the new one) rocks!
Firefly is also good, but the animated Clone Wars series I offer only if you're really familiar with Star Wars and you love it, or you may easily miss the points in the episodes...
