I wish I lived in Germany!!!!!

So last year my cousin turned me on to Blind Guardian.  They came to the Troc here in Philly and I wish they toured the U.S. more!  Freakin A!  You guys in Germany are awesome because they are a metal band from Germany and tour there almost every year!!!

Germany is overrated, take it from their western neighbour 

Makes for good soccer matches though 

Anyway about the band, not really impressive. One dimensional, little variation, low quality vocals.

I'm a rock fan, but this band isn't top of the crop in my humble opinion.

only German rock band i have any knowledge of  is Ramstein.  as for Germany being Overrated  EVERY country is overated to somebody and underrated to somebody else.  If i were to leave the USA for another country i have a strong feeling it would be Australia.  It seems to be the most politically and economically stable country in the world. you also dont here about any terrorist attacks upon it.  It does not seem to suffer any MAJOR disasters (I know it gets Typhoons every now and then).

I had an aunt from Germany, passed away last year.
Still rooting for the Netherlands when faced with German Soccer 

A shame the Netherlands and Germany never faced each other in the WC this year.

I don't mind the "1 dimensional" lyrics.  I think its bad ass, doing bard like songs/tales to metal music.  As for the vocals, I think Hansi Kürsch has a phenominal range.

Meh... Rammstein is alot better than these guys.  Not saying that their bad just rammstein is alot better.

Ramstein is not that good. I have 5 Albums from em and gotta say: most stuff simply sounds the same, specally because of the "vocals". About blind Guardian: Quite ok Metalband, with good vocals. Problem with vocals at all is: you cant judge em by just listening to 2 songs ...

Oh and Im german, and gotta say: its personally taste which country you like, but dont judge a land by the music.

Then again i would fear some of the Dutch "performers" as well.
