Hello,
I am trying to use the multiplayer mode and am having issues with it. Whe I choose manual IP either to connect or to create a game, it takes a really long time to transfer me to the lobby. Once in the lobby everything seems fine, but if I try to go to the previous menu or main menu the game stops responding. It also stops responding when I try to create a game. I've uninstalled the game and all Armada II mods plus free'd up some hard drive space and then reinstalled the MOD, but it has not resolved. I ran DXDIAG which I have attached to this post. If anyone knows what's going on I will appreciate the help. If you need any additional info please let me know.
Love the new MOD. I've been playing Fleetops since the very first MOD.![ThumbsUp ](/forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.png)

hm, i assume that is nothing 3.0.7 related but the usual behaviour of armada 2
i experienced the same a few times randomly on various systems too. i recommend you just try to wait, as it sometimes can take a long time before anything goes..

Yup, this happens to me 2 times the first time I play FO before when first starting up the computer. I know it also happens with a bunch of other people. I just ctrl alt delete, restart FO, and voila, after the second time--it works!

Well, I started it up and went to the multiplayer manual IP. I left it blank so I could try creating a game. It went to the lobby and I clicked on create game and it hung there, so I left it for an hour and 45 mins. Still no go. I've tried ending the program and restarting it, but it still freezes up on me. Instant action works fine and the preview release of 3.0 worked fine too. My friends can get into the create game area just fine, so there must be something wrong with my laptop. Are there any tweaks or drivers that might alleviate this issue?

Ok. I tried it another 7 times and even tried different network connections. Good news is it likes IPX, bad news is it does not like TCP/IP. I am going to try and update my LAN card drivers.

Ok. I have verified it is a hardware issue. Updated drivers did not work. Seems like it will only work in IPX for my Broadcom 440 card. However, I switched to my wireless card and I can now create games using TCP/IP.

Well, I'm not sure what to say. Just when I thought it was working finally it stopped. It started doing it to my friend's PC also, but his wasn't as frequent as mine. It is not really viable for me to play over manual IP or TCP/IP. I double checked to make sure it wasn't a fluke and have verified that IPX still allows me to create games. So, even if I go the LAN route everyone will have to use IPX.
I have faith that you guys will find this issue and fix it. Make it go.

If you use Hamachi (and your companion as well) you can certainly play via TCP/IP with anybody you wish ![ThumbsUp ](/forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.png)

I've never had any problems when creating a manual ip game, either joining or hosting. It does take a sec to get into the menu where you select a game, but I've had no problems once 3.07 came out. 3.06 gave me problems.

Hm, sadly when i tried to play online, game spy didn´t work, so a friend with whom i desperately wanted to play recommended hamachi. But after i installed it my computer started rebooting every time, i was caught in a loop, not able to anything until i manually deleted any task in the task maanger to get rid of hamachi. I tried another program called wippien or something, the same thing happened.
I have no clue what was/is wrong, maybe the hardware ? When hamachi tried to configure the network connection the horrible loop of never use your pc again started. I´m heartbroke causei can´t play online.![Cry :crybaby:](/forum/images/smilies/crybaby.gif)
Any ideas what i can do pls ?![Sad :(](/forum/images/smilies/sad.png)

Hmm, is your PC always connected to the internet? Could be that Hamachi is trying to log you on or create an IP... but cannot... or vice versa. Never run into this problem, but I do know that Hamachi causes some problems for me with IE because of its settings.. even when it isn't on ![Pinch :pinch:](/forum/images/smilies/pinch.png)

Well, if my pc is on, internet is always too yes. But my friends have no problem with that, so i guess it´s something else. Someone suggested i should refresh my xp, but without the actual software it isn´t going to happen i fear. Really annoying, my pc always features special problems nobody else has.
