Yo, when was the last time you ran a virus scan? If you have a virus on your computer it will make sure that nothing is secure on your pc, such as preventing anti-virus updates, and secure connection software going cray. Have you thought of that yet?

I guess you´re refering to the "i have problems nobody else has" part of my post, but i´m quite sure there is no virus, at least my scanner tells me so, and if there´s a virus why does it only bother to prevent me from using hamachi or something like that. Maybe it´s the "play alone virus".

... or it's the "I'll change how your computer networks" virus.
Possibly getting a few more scanners might do the trick if it has the possibility of being a virus: I currently use Norton (from Uni), Spybot S+D (free), and LiveOne (free).
Honestly though, we're just throwing stuff out there: have you tried booting in safemode and disabling Hamachi or changing its settings?

I downloaded hamachi, installed it and when i tried to run it, new "hardware" was found, like all sorts of miniports, i was told thats normal, but during this process the reboot-loop occured. And each time windows restarted, before i could do something that hell machine of a pc rebooted yet again. As i said before, only through killing any upcoming task that showed up i was able to break the cycle. Then i uninstalled hamachi as fast as i could.
On a side not, since that happened my pc tells me i have a 3.5" disc drive, which i CERTAINLY don´t have.
Funny though i hope i can find that "change the network virus" if it´s there, i wanna play online.

Ok, Will Hamachi allow me to connect to IPX games? I'm thinking this may be a great solution for internet and network games, but if I can't start a TCP/IP game i'm hosed. I can only reliably create games in IPX.

Did a little research and discovered Hamachi does support IPX. Hurray! All is not lost. I am happy now.
