Out of Sync Issues!

holy crap Fleetops team! really.  since patch 3 wa released, only around 3 games havent OoS on me, and they were 1v1.  whatever you did to "fix" the game in the third "patch", clearly something cocked up.  don't get me wrong, you guys have done a marvelous, miraculous, incredible job up to this point, this third patch seems like a step backwards. i dunno if anyone else is suffering from this, but i know the only person i haven't un-synced is cbosdell, and i know that cairo can't play multi at all.  to summarize, please fix the out of sync!!!

I got it earlier, tried 2 games and got OoS for both. It came before I even picked my avatar.

About half my games are OOS now after patch 3. :(

so yah, this is increadablay aggravating, i havent olayed a single game since 3.03 has come out. I thought it was at first my internet, but now i know its not.

can I have 3,02, that one worked. mostly

the team did a bad job on the patch and should feel bad.

i know they tried very hard on this, and they mean well, but this is just bad, at least a 50-60% OoS rate, and this is in games that JUST start! its rediculous!

only tend to get out of sync with people from either eastern europe or people i cant ping...

ive played plenty of 2vs2 games and 1vs1vs1 without the OOS issue, though the explosions were changed for the worse and now cause lag...

Well, I have a veeery fast and stable Internet, combined with a high-end graphics card and accelerator, advanced sound board, and a cutting-edge Motherboard. I have a feeling that your ping-rate is very high... so no thanks for a game.


PS A ping symbolizes your Internet stability. The higher the ping rate, the less stable your Internet connection is. To sum it up: OOS means that you ping rate is off the scale, and your connection can't handle the information from the game, meaning that it disconnects and temporarily shuts down for digital repairs, which only take a few milliseconds. BUT, you should try to avoid people with high ping rates.

I've had a few crashes, but all were because of around 2000 ships firing at the same time.  :whistling: Go figure. I'm suprised that anything can handle that much data prossecing at one time.


PPS I don't take requests for games.

plus, these OoS only started being virulent when patch 3 was released, so it's a fleetops issue.

actually i do, i meant if i start command prompt and "ping" their IP, most of the people i have OOS issue with i usually dont get a response back from.
Also, i know what you mean about people with high ping rates but that is not the cause of the OOS, Lumpty is very much right and the OOS became a lot more frequent with patch 3.0.3 much like in 3.0.0, then patch 3.0.1 fixed it, and now its broken again...

yeah, part of that was cus they included a fix in patch 3.1, and idk if 3.3 took away the patch or anything. but when i play with people who i played with before without any oss, at the begining of a 2v2, we had oss
