No. Also, disabling EAX does not fix the issue (which I previously thought may have alleviated the issue)

For me, I've noticed that it crashes when particularly large fleets are built. As yet, I have not had a crash where 3 or less teams are in play; 4 or more teams tend to crash the game with the "EAccessViolation" message as there are many more ships roaming about.

I tryed various games with 3 Hard AI's against me but the game is still crashing . I know the AI build tons of ships but I think that the game engine can easily handle this . I think these crashes have something to do with the patch

YEs. since the patch I have not been able to complete a single game. not even one.

I haven't had ANY random crashes while playing. I wouldn't really think that it would be the game engine, then.

Same happening to me. I have also just sent a bug report such a shame. Also, if a new patch is needed, please add a save game ability.

I still am having problems with the crashes. And this is with only one enemy. It does not seem to be dependant on large fleets. It does appear to occur during battles however….although, lets face it….there are a lot of battles …all the time right?
I have a AMD FX55 2.6 Ghz and a X800XTPlatinum with 2 gig of Ram with XP Pro. Its an older rig, but common I can play Half Life 2 and DOOM3 a max setting with no problems at all.
Again I would encourage everyone to try some heat probe programs to check your processor temps. The program needs to be able record the data so you can go back and look at it after the crash. You cannot check temps by going to the desktop...your system starts to cool down in seconds. This game does not draw on the processor while you have it minimized.
Keep your shorts on! I’m not saying your rig is overheating all the time…but sometimes programs can lock up your processor causing it to overheat…NWN2 used to due this to me before some of its later patches came into play. Then it ran perfectly.
My computer can run most games around 64 deg C (FX55’s run hot). I have a lot of additional cooling in this PC as well.
Right before this game crashes my processor is running at 85 deg C.

i am sorry for my late reply. the eaccessviolation exception can occour for various reasons, the one posted in the screenshots from the second post are a known issue with armada 2.
many mods do have the same or similar issue, we are still trying to find out how to fix that bug, but currently there is no way to reproduce this issue for debugging as it occours more or less randomly. it seems to be related to the ai. so the more AIs you have in the game the more likely it is that this crash occours.

strange, these crashes rarely if ever occured for me before the patch, and now it seems i cant finish a single game, even when im playing against just 1 AI

may be related to the upgraded ai with 3.0.1, hopefully it gets better with 3.0.2 again as optec changes it further with it

Why would the G15 keyboard be an issue?
