Hi. Because I have UBUNTU OS on my computer, I decide to try to install "Star Trek Armada 2" (a space strategy game).
I made more screenshots from "Star Trek Armada 2", playing on Ubuntu 16.04.
Actually that is the Star Trek Armada 2 game, running the full "Battlestar Galactica" mod.
As you can see, the game works just fine.

If I remember, that is the Star Trek Armada 2 version running on Ubuntu Linux: https://mega.nz/#!09UHUJLK!flMw4hwnwwYd4_9LyjL6hl02xt4z5I7zRlpBdQtLcmU (if not, let me know).
Unzip to your games folder on Ubuntu, (or anywhere you like) than click right on the Armada2.exe file and select --Open with --Wine Windows Program Loader --
Before doing that, you have to install Playonlinux (with Wine of course) and DosBox Emulator. I don't know if it's necessary, but I have that one too. Please configure Wine with 1024x768 display resolution and Windows XP compatibility.
Good luck. Let me know if it works on your Linux OS, because for me, it's fun, playing Star Trek Armada 2 under Linux.
Anyway, I'm curious,...how many Linux players are there, playing Armada 2 or Fleet Operations. ? Thanks. I have to tell, that I'm still trying to launch Fleet Operations from Ubuntu. Until now, without luck. Maybe one day. Other than that, I managed to launch many other Windows games from Ubuntu.

The original Beta version can be found here, if you interested: http://armadafiles.com/files/armada-2/mods/total-conversions/fleet-operations/star-trek-fleet-ops-beta-11/details

What can I say...the textures looks a little bit ugly but ...the game run just fine from Ubuntu.

If you like to play with Star Trek Armada 2 and Fleet Operations, I can recommend for you another space strategy game. The game name is -Conquest Frontier Wars 2 - and runs just fine on Linux too, in my case, Ubuntu.
