Hi,

Are some of you experience the same strange things?

1. Klingons are still building no Neghvars, their research seems to stop before they could do it.
If it is just a matter of time, then the Klingon research should be a lot faster, because every other race has  dozens of battleships in the same time.

2. Federation and Klingons sent a big fleet to Dominion base, but did not attack anything.
They just stood there and were destroyed one by one.
The ships seem to target a blank point on the map, as they all were pointing into the same direction.

3. Artillery causing not enough damage on stations?
I´ve been looking at the values for health and shields when a Steamrunner was attacking a Dominion mining station.
Sometimes a hit reduces the health by 15 points, but if the shields recovered to 1, the next hit causes no damage than reducing the shields to zero.

4. Excelsior move to fast.
Is this a feature or a bug that the Excelsiors have the 120_physics?

5. Federation repair ships are repairing enemies, when they are on high autonomy? (No allies!!)
Do they use their repair beam as weapon?

6. Breen battleship recovers too fast.
Even a medium fleet of Fed ships wasn´t able to destroy it.
Very odd, they stopped attacking the Breen battleship, short before the shields were down and concentrated on stations??

Many more small annoying things are happening randomly.
For example:
One Dominion battleship has been built, but doesn´t move at all and no more battleships were built afterwards.

I will do a fresh install of V3 only with patch 3.03 to see if this would fix some of these oddities.

I think the repair ship bug is purely superficial, enemy vessels arent actually repaired, but it does look silly.

I had the second problem with the Borg. The AI sent some thips to an allie, stopped, did nearly nothing (sometimes they did shoot at me...) and were destroyed very easy.

Oh and the once the AI (as romulan) send a whole fleet to destroy a last building. After it arrived it did nothing. But their artillery was firing like hell - not at the building, but near it. They didn't even stop after the game was over.

I don't know is it a bug, but dominion defenders costs credits. I thought that it shouldn't cost credits anymore.

I like this bit. Excelsiors are not slow in the series, even the non-refits that are ingame.

the excelsior is fast as intended :)

Ok, so the Excelsior should be that fast.

I have reinstalled V3 and only patched it to 3.03.
The menu bug is still present.
And the nebulas or fog on the maps appear like they only have 256 colors?
Still no Neghvars at all.

I just watched the Klingons with the AI Debugger (SHIFT + ALT + a).
It seems the techtree is hanging when kliR_overload is demanded.
Status report says klir_overload, maybe a typo or is it not case sensitiv?

No builder ship is building the necessary research station for it.
That´s why there are no Neghvars in the game, because the research stops short before they should be build.

Edit:
Stupid mistake, you have to put the kli_imperial_research before the kliR_overload in the buildlist, than it works.

finally, we have an answer as to why the Klings are not building Neghs.
How in the hell did those people who replied to the earlier thread about Kling Neghs claim they saw Neghs in game?!  >:(

In initial V3 it has been correct.
The mistake started with Patch 3.01.

Fortunately I have all versions unpacked here for comparison.

No there are only the "256 colours" background or overlay bug and the missing menus left where I don´t find a solution.

A few more bugs since this is the 1st bug thread I found:

A lot of Borg ships, even after the tech is researched, will not have slicer beam or any of their specials ... only those built after the research has completed will have the specials.

Another Borg bug: if you use nanites on a group of ships and then assimilate them succesfully, YOU will become infected with nanites for a brief time
