So, do you see a pattern emerging yet? :detective:
I am not paranoid or anything of the sort, I have only stated the truth and the facts. From all of this and the fact that I have kept asking people here to stop their bladgering and attacking more than once, it just proves that almost everyone here rather argue and downgrade others instead of helping them out. If I'm so wrong and that isn't the case, prove me wrong and actually Please help me out, thank you.
There is only one pattern I see from everyone at all the modding sites that I've found, they rather be mean and disrespectful and continue their rudness when the one they are targetting is nicely asking them to stop. Which that is exactly the case because I have done just that more than once "Asked everyone to stop" but they haven't. Why? I'd have to say they rather continue this non-sense instead of lending a helping hand. That is all I have been asking for and I don't see any suggestions except "start over"[b] which there is now no time to even do that.

Will you please share your solutions that you've devised to some of the problems with my mod? All I have been asking for is for some help to find solutions and you actually seem to be the first to offer some and to have thought of some. Will you please share them? I have been looking for solutions by myself for weeks and I still haven't found any that solve the problems and its really disappointing especially when not everyone wants to help. I thank you for devising some solutions.
Adm. Zaxxon wrote:Sure, post a single problem here, no more than one paragraph(just a few sentences) describing the problem and I will try to help. Something simple like, "This ship causes the game to crash when its built," or "This ship won't leave the ship yard when built" or maybe, "This weapon causes the game to crash." If I need more info, I'll ask certain questions in order to get things straight. Too much info can be a deterrent to those trying to help, so you must be careful about that.
Do you think you can do that?
I already have all my games problems posted in their own seperate threeads and it would be a waste of time to post them again, anyway, I don't think the forum moderators would like it if the problems were posted again, wouldn't taht be double posting and restating information already posted?
I will only post one problem here is the forum moderators said it was ok, but there are already other threads I've started with the next problems to work on, namely in thread 2 carrying this thread's name...
Here is part of the error though- The Defiant and the Defiant-class aren't really supposed to be destroyers, they are unoffcially a warship, so I made an ODF file to refelct that aand made them into that type. Now the Defiant and the Defiant-class vessels crash the game when they get heavily damaged instead of explodingand I can't figure out wy.

I'm not that good at solving the problems with the game, I just happened to try some ideas and it worked for that specific error, the others aren't working out like that.
I do need your help with these errors, I've run out of ideas.

i'm not a modder so even if i read about your problems i couldnt solve them
if u have loads of issues, your best bet is probably trying to start from scratch again. which is gonna be tough under deadlines.

So, they crash the game instead of exploding? In that case, I would say the problem exists in xrfireblg.odf Make sure it exists, and if it does, could you attach it here? Make sure everything is spelled correctly as well.
Also, I would add more possible craft names to the ship. I am not sure, but I believe only one possible name will cause problems.

Actually, there are only the problems that I have opened up threads about, there are no other problems but the 4 remaining ones (especially since they are the ones causing the game to crash).
1) The Defiant's warship.odf/The "Destroy All" Weapon
2) The Trading Stations/Cargo Ship Error plaguing all races with those types of ships and stations.
3) The Increased Shield/Health HitPoint Values for the Borg, Dominion and Breen Ships
The rest of the errors in game aren't really causing crashes but they are annoying since they should be working.
1) Commander Loskene’s hero ship for the Tholians, its sounds aren't working, but I did edit the Events file to make it work for the Tholians and not the Federation since it was given to the Tholians.
2) Making certain Races Non-Playable well others playable and adding non-race specific Map Objects to the Maps that will actually attack.
3) Then there is this non-important crash. If you use the map editor, test something and then go back to sue the editor to add something alse (CTRL-A) the game crashes instead of beinging up the edit menu for the second time. - This I can live with for now though, something could have been edited that shouldn't have.

Your suggestion appeared well I was typing my other reply, I let my other post go first before I checked what you suggested.

Aha, i believe the problem may be with the line
// Standard shockwave.
shockwave = "xrshock"
should be
// Standard shockwave.
shockwave = "xshock"
try that.

I edited the corresponding text and put the edited file back into the ODF/Others Folder.
The game crashed again wel testing the Defiant in the Map Editor, the attached screen shot fthanks to the Patch Project 1.2.5 Patch shows the moment just before the crash.

Yes, but there was no way to save it, instead teh program opens up Microsoft Outlook to send the e-mail with the crash report and the picture but there is no way to know if it sent. There doesn't appear to be a way to save teh crash report though.

if it's using madexcept like fleetops u should be able to save the file.
but if not, in the email it composes, u can open the file it attaches to the email.

I ran the test again (only this time I did add more map units in to the map, the same Klingon Starbase did the attacking, this time the USS Defiant became a burning derelict before the game crashed.
This time though, I've managed to save the Bugreport by opening it up through the attached file in Microsoft Outlook, I did though rename the screencapture picture. Both are attached.
EDIT:
Dominus_Noctis wrote:You can just click "save to desktop"
That option wasn't there at all. There was no Save Option at all.
