Why it is in game? It served from 2280-2370...this granny of a ship should be in junkyard in the time of FO
Its weak, its old,its worst Warp In.... Feds have biggest number of ship types in Star Trek, why not replace it with something fresh

Excelsiors are old, yes, but they were built in SUCH huge numbers during the time between the first Excelsior left spacedock to the Dominion War that they are still used as last-resort type vessels for supporting critical situations (hence they come in the warpin) .
Since you said
Since you said
, why get rid of it? Warpin is the way that we get to play with the oldschool Fed vessels that we all love .Feds have biggest number of ship types in Star Trek, why not replace it with something fresh

The Excelsior is a very successful, very common ship that also happens to be very popular with Starfleet Admirals. It's in use because it works. It simply isn't built anymore.

Yep!
Lots of vessels, Planes, Tanks, and weapons remain in modern militaries around the world simply because there isn't any reason to scrap them.
Many European countries use German tanks designed in the 70's that have been upgraded and refit with newer technologies. The United States still uses Aircraft carriers built decades ago simply because they serve their purpose perfectly well.
Heck, the main heavy machine gun used by the US Army is still the Browning .50 caliber with a tripod that they've used since pre-WW2. It just works to well to get rid of it. Same deal with the German MG42, the AK-47, the M16 (all at least 40+ years old).
Just cause it's old doesn't mean it doesn't have its uses. On top of that, there are still lots of vessels that Starfleet did in fact phase out like the Constitution, the Miranda, the Constellation, the Centaur (all of which we hope to see in the future )

All of which we will see in the future, even though mainly map objects. But, you probably already knew that...

Well Optec has already said that the Miranda and Constitution would eventually be map objects for us to play with, and I can only imagine that more "MK II's" await us in the future . I luuuurvs the Constellation .

Constellation is probably there in the secret 72 they don't tell us about; if the weird looking Cheyenne, Aegian and Incursion are on the list, I doubt the Constellation will be left out. Especially considering it was in before.

I do think the concept of "it's the worst warpin" is very funny.
Oh! I forgot! All warpins are supposed to steamroll everything when they show up! God forbid one of them be the "worst" out of the bunch ... I suppose after we behead the excelsior I the Sensor Neb will be next because it's the "worst" ...
Then after the Sensor Neb is gone well .... well there's just no room anymore for the Steamrunner ... it's clearly too fragile ... so let's axe that one ... then on to the Torp Neb / Ambassador / Galaxy ...
Well that's a tossup for me, frankly ....
Where's "navyguy" when we need a decision made?

Short moment here, everyone for those who lost some one on 9/11 let them not be forgotten. Do not ax out the Ambassador, fine ship such is the Galaxy, but i think the Ambassador takes more damage. Excelsior good looking as a ship she is she needs to well at least maybe be buildable but not a warp in, she should be used more for Starbase protection.

I bet you would rather get Two Galaxy class + Torp Nebula than two Excell 1 + Sensor Nebula in warpin. All warpins are more or less awesome considering their zero price,Excell isnt that bad,I just think the other are better.
