yea and why should they all be the same? if so, we could just add them as buildable crafts. the "luck" factor would be spoiled. If you dont like the excelsior, then just be happy each time you get a galaxy, thats much more fun

well if the Veteran Excel 1's get the Lakota refit with a weapon boost for that rank they would be worth having around a spot more. personally id give the 2 gold bar rank the refit and weapon boost and find some other boost for veteran.

Lol @ dob,
Just because it's the weakest of the warpins doesn't mean it's not worth using. Also, you can't just have the heavier warpins each time or the game wouldn't be balanced .
I guess I don't get the logic behind you saying "remove it from warpin because it's not as good as the others" ... Why not just remove all ships from all sides that are not their main battleships? Why not just do that? Bugs aren't as good as V-13, so why should we keep them in the game?
Get it?

Yeah Boggz! All warpin are supposed to steamroll! How about we get rid of the old excell and replace it with the E2 from 3.0.7!

theres alot misunderstanding going on your side.
dont even know where to start
1. I never said that warpin should just steamroll everything, dont want it either
2. I suggested to replace the Excel 1 by something new, there isnt written anywhere in my post that this replace should be stronger.
3. The idea behind "say good bye to Excel 1" was based on fact that it should not be in servis anymore after 2370,not becose its weak like you try my post to look like.
4. "I guess I don't get the logic behind you saying "remove it from warpin because it's not as good as the others""
these words you quoted are only yours, also the "remove it from warpin because it's not as good as the others" is your misunderstanding.
I dont like when someone is using every word aggaist me using fake quotes and wrong explanations to corrupt the original meaning of my posts.

I never said that Excel 1 isnt worth using,I never said that warpin should be heavy strong ships only. Please,if you must use every word aggainst me,please man, atleast use words that I really written, not something you made up.I respect you,you are on of my favorite players to watch in yandonman matchs,no need to any negative things going on between us,yagetmy?

Sorry, didn't mean to "fake quote", but in your OP you said,
I assumed that meant you thought it was "...(it's)weak,its old, its worst Warp In...." that meant you thought it was too weak and old to be used. That sure says to me that it's not worth using. There is such a thing as implication.
Maybe you should think things out before you post about how a warpin ship you don't like is "weak, its old, its worrst Warp In ...".
Why it is in game? It served from 2280-2370...this granny of a ship should be in junkyard in the time of FO
Its weak, its old,its worst Warp In.... Feds have biggest number of ship types in Star Trek, why not replace it with something fresh

I dont have anything aggainst Excel 1,its weak( most of the time, sometimes long range torp ship is very effective ) and old,but these volleys blue torps .. cant hate
Idea that Starfleet command call for ship class thats officialy out of active service in times of war when firepower is needed asap is ok by me but theres alot fed ships that are not in game right now.Very nice and cool one, speaking for myself I would replace the Excel 1 with any of the following ships...
Cheyene class
Prometheus class
theres more nice ones but I cant remember their names

we saw loads of excel 1 in the dominion war, and those hadnt received refits yet. the execl 1 apparently is very easy to refit. so they like keeping them around to refit. probably the constellation wasnt as easy to refit. its cheaper to refit some excels instead of building new stuff. as long as the excels still do their job. and the unrefitted ones did their job in the dominion war. the ones we see in fleetops were the ones that were refit. so they have lasted even longer.
we remember the lakota giving the defiant a good beating, because it refit well. i have no issue with the excel being around still.
just like the ktinga, rare, but still around.
as for how weak it is, i think its a nice ship, deals good damage, has a nice special which makes it deal even more damage for a while. especially against borg.

About the Cheyenne and Prometheus, both are already planned.
What isn't planned is a retirement of the Excelsior. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Yep. in the FO Universe there are still plenty of Excelsior ships in use. Some of them survived the Dominion War, some were retired of the Starfleet arsenal and were moved to local planetary governments for transport or logistics duty and some are still deployed on some of the countless patroll routes within Federation space. Its the later type you get from warpin
But they are no longer built, thats correct. Still, there were countless refits and modernizations for Excelsior ships in the past centurys, and they seem to work like a charm for the Federation, so their vessels got their service time increased and increased over and over again. Its definitely the most successful Starfleet ship design. Nowerdays, with the lack of vessels (due to the losses of the Dominion war) and the countless pirates and shady factions popping up, the Federation just cant afford to retire their most reliable ships.
