But if it's true that the mixed tech will be redone with all new custom ships, That gets my vote. I'd love to see things like the klingon kl'sarza, the ingram class, the excalibur class maybe? The sky is the limit if the devs use that system. (mixed tech kl'sarza for the win!)

They should make the Excalibur as the Fed-Bord Mixed-Tech, since Most of the Exacliburs I've seen for Armada have Transwarp. I'm curious though: What is the Ingram class? Is it a Fed ship? If not, that'd probably explain why I haven't heard of it before.


As for my own anticipations, I'm hoping that the Akula and the Promixa refit/Proxima-II (^-^) get included along with the Miranda, Connie and Constellation. I love me some Legacy awesomeness. I'm also eagerly awaiting the NX-refit thingy that's, I believe, on the todo list somewhere. And many other, awesome things that will eventually become a reality.

oh wow the ingram is bad, they just made an e1 bigger.

maybe we should have the godship class, a 500m scaled up version of the defiant. with 24 pulse phasers all pointing foward.

I'd love to see what could be called a Constitution II along the lines of the Miranda II or Excelsior II. I also would like to see a carrier vessel for Mayson as well, because that's my preferred avatar.

Carriers are a risner thing. giving mayson a carrier would deffinatly make him overpowered, plus, its an avatar special, it would defeat the purpose to have them both have a carrier.

And you should try risner, she has better guns, bigger guns, and can hit harder and faster than mayson, plus she has the carrier.

Lol, its not that bad, It's just a little bigger then the excelsior, and still smaller then the galaxy. It's not a supership by any means.

Edit: I agree about the constitution II, that would be pretty awsome

i wasnt saying it was a godship, i was saying its silly because its just another ship scaled up. i brought the defiant into it because a defiant scaled up to be 500m long would look ridiculous.

Looking at the to do list the Typhon Carrier is on it, and based on what I know it's not Risner specific so Mayson will have access to it. Unless of course it does become a Risner unit.

i would expect that the typhon wont be very similar to the avalon. unless its gonna straight up replace it. if its not gonna replace it then maybe something unique is planned for the typhon. maybe a defensively oriented carrier. or a scouting oriented carrier. maybe something to do with synergies like cover fire.

maybe the typhon will be a warpin as well.

I think the original Typhon was more heavily-armed than the Avalon. Then again, that Typhon was also designed for science-themed missions like an Explorer. The best special I could imagine would be multiple fighters with different weapons.

A Warp-In carrier sounds good; fighters and super turrets. Like my fighter Nebula.

The Typhon was considered an experimental ship in ST Invasion so I imagine it might end up being an experimental warp in, much like how the Avalon used to be an experimental warp in before they added it to the large yard. If it were my choice I'd make it an experimental warp in anywho. I personally never really liked the Typhon ship all that much (honestly I think it's one of the ugliest non-kitbash ships from an Activision game), but the Valkyrie fighter craft that it carried were awesome looking in my opinion. I look forward to seeing those zip around in a fight.

I was thinking that the carrier would be a defensive unit given that Mayson is a bit geared for defence anyways. I usaully run a defensive strategy until I build up enough resources and ships to go after my target. That's why I use Mayson, well that and he seems more like the classic Starfleet admiral.

The Ingram would be kinda pointless in FO, with the excelsior I and II in there, and with the possibility of the Lakota refit being added also. I just think it's a neat ship, taking my favorite fed ship and making it bigger and stronger is a good thing in my book.

I think the Typhon being a warpin would be pretty awsome, that would give both sides a carrier, and I'm sure it would it would add a whole new level of strategy. It might be slotted for a mixed tech position instead though?
